When I was young, all my blonde haired, blue eyed cousins used to tease me mercilessly for being dark with dark eyes.

I would run to my Grandma who told me about how the Vikings raided South and captured Gypsy Princesses to bring back to Norway to be their brides and that was why I was so dark.

My cousins would yell,

Family gatherings were brutal.
