There is already a database on gun owners at ATF. I suppose NSA has one also.

What if we closed some Congress loopholes.

Gun Registration is Gun Confiscation

http://gunwatch.blogspot.com/2012/12/gun-registration-is-gun-confiscation.html

This is the first essay that I wrote on the subject. It has been widely quoted.

When cops do a traffic stop do they have access to handgun permit data?

Sounds good. Let’s vet the list so it only has Dem voters and Progressive activists on it.

All federal agents need SCUBA gear. All our guns are at the bottom of our favorite fishing lakes. Once Obama’s SS detail give up their guns, we’ll give up ours. though we don’t have any. They’re all at the bottom of the lake.

It’ll probably cause more boating accidents IMHO

The medical, debt collection and mass marketing rackets already have such databases.

Or…we could build a data base of illegal contributions to Hillary and the Democrat Party.! That would do more to fight crime and corruption in this country than another gun law.

The 17 intelligence agencies pride themselves in filling in the gaps in their data, by reaching conclusions based on partial evidence.

For example, have you ever purchased a box of ammo with a credit card? This means they know you probably have a gun that fires that type of ammo. Have you have ever mentioned your ownership of a gun on the Internet? (before the unfortunate boating accident, of course).

And once they have that information, they have it for good.

No such thing as a gunshow loophole. These are just private party transfers, so when they want to close gunshow loopholes, they also mean to close all private party sales.

Any one that is for forming a data base for all gun owners, deserve what they will get. There is nothing that this government will do to accomplish the forming of this data base. Once that happens, there is nothing to stop them from confiscating all those weapons. To protect the public, of course

***Oh, we’re not trying to establish some national registry of gun owners.***

This was first proposed back in 1962 by Thomas J Dodd and Emanuel Cellar.

1962 Thomas J Dodd and Emaual Cellar proposed the first federal law on handguns.

1962; “We don’t want to take away your guns, we ONLY want to register handguns! Rifles and shotguns will not be affected”.

1964: “We only want to register all your guns, not ban them! Only Army surplus guns will be banned.”

1968: “We only want to register your guns, and ban “Saturday Night Specials” and small foreign handguns along with army surplus rifles!” (They got the ban on 5 shot bolt action army surplus rifles and handguns and small foreign pistols)

1970: “We only want to ban Saturday night specials! Large handguns and rifles will not be affected!”

1971: “According to the SCOTUS, Miller Decision, RIFLES are protected under the 2nd Amendment, handguns are not!”

1976: “We only want to ban all handguns! Long guns will not be affected!”

1981: “The NRA is a rifle organization! They should give up their handguns, and they can keep their rifles!”- Lee Grant on GMA

1984: “We must ban “assault Rifles, unsuitable or hunting!”

1989: George Bush bans import of some foreign made “assault rifles”.

1992: Assault rifle ban passed by Clinton.

2000: first calls to ban single shot .50 cal rifles...

2012 calls for MORE bans on semi auto rifles and handguns.

And so it continues.

I am on the data base for those that lost all their weapons in a tragic boating accident... a growing data base at that

Have you bought a Hunting License lately? There ALREADY IS a database of legal gun owners. You CAN’T buy a Hunting License without a Social Security number any more!!! Not in ANY state!

if we have a Right to bears arms... why do we need to be registered?

I’d like to create a national database of COMMUNISTS, and monitor them constantly to see what mischief they’re up to! ;)
