Officials say some protesters angry over the acquittal of a police officer charged in the deaths of two unarmed suspects became violent and turned on bystanders, including some who pepper-sprayed patrons sitting at outdoor cafes downtown.
Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams says 71 people were arrested Saturday night after a day of mostly peaceful protests turned more aggressive.
Williams said Sunday at a news conference with Mayor Frank Jackson that another protester threw a restaurant sign at a patron, striking him in the head. He says bystanders were also accosted in at least one other instance....

Is it safe to assume that the perps were not angry middle aged white people pepper spraying peaceful teen aged black Cafe Patrons who were minding their own business?

Yeah, they kind' had us try to figure it out. My money is on the perps being part of the mob bused in and kept in local motels during the week waiting for their looting ok sign. I don't think that Saint Lebron is going to stop the looting or attacks on peaceful "white" people. This is just what Cleveland needs: Another reason to not go anywhere near downtown. The savages are loose.

Protesters upset with the judge, the system and the cops, so what do they do? They attack bystanders, they will soon start rioting and destroying and maiming innocents and their property.

What if an armed bystander has asthma? That can be a real danger in my opinion. Deadly force would seem appropriate. Or say a bystander was on the final few days of a recovery from eye surgery? Deadly force would be appropriate. What if the bystander has children in their company? An infant in their company, even?
And remember the Republican Convention is going to be held in Cleveland (why ever did they choose that town?). . .
Detroit would have been safer but the agitators will go where ever it is.
