The NBPP issued dead or alive wanted posters on him. Not one LEA, prosecutor or politician in the country condemned that giving the impression that his assassination has been officially sanctioned.
The politicians, DoJ and media still have not condemned the NBPP and it looks like they will get the assassination they want sooner or later.

I have not seen an “attempted murder” statute, but that does not mean that such a charge could not be made.
Sometimes there are synergies in the law that you have to be familiar with to understand.
Perhaps a lawyer familiar with Florida law could tell us if there is a way to charge someone with “attempted murder” under Florida law.

The charges seem appropriate to me, from what I know of Florida law. There is mandatory minimum sentencing. I will be surprised of Apperson escapes with less than 20 years in prison.

The stated charges sound appropriate and accurate to me but they seem a little short of the full intent of his crime. He wanted to kill GZ and he made a pretty good attempt at it. On its face aggravated assault sounds light to me.

George Zimmerman was attacked without provocation by a mentally unstable man who was obsessed with him.Zimmerman should sue the socks off of wire service journalism, which is a monopoly which enables this systematic omission of relevant fact in journalism as a whole.
