Russians fear the United States?
Coach is Right ^ | May 16, 2015 | Jim Emerson, staff writer

The Telegraph reported from an independent pollster the Levada Center survey that nearly a third, 31 percent, of Russians fear an invasion by the United States. The Moscow Times citing the same survey reported that 59 percent of Russians believe that the United States and NATO pose a threat to the homeland. Amid the tensions arising from the Ukrainian crisis this is a 12 percent increase from a previous survey conducted in 2007. This poll is an indication of heightened tensions between Washington and Moscow that haven’t been seen since the Cold War.

The poll was conducted last April interviewing 1,600 adults across 46 regions of the country. Other poll results indicate that 48 % of Russians are concerned that the United States would interfere with any Russian efforts to modernize. Forty percent feared that America is trying to take control and destroy the Russian economy, hardly likely given the amount of time spent by Obama and his acolytes on the destruction of the American economy. Thirty six percent are wary of the forced imposition of U.S. values and ideals. It seems these people must be watching the exported version of Modern Family.

Probable cause

Russian State television constantly and deliberately frightens its viewers with the thought that the U.S. and NATO are intent upon destroying and occupying the country.

Russians have had to live through many devastating invasions. US only recently, from the south. Our government appears to be embracing that one, however.

Who invaded Ukraine in 2014, and is still occupying parts of that country today? Who invaded Georgia in 2008?

The world is drowning in craziness.

Instead, we have bowed to them instead.

Who invaded Iraq? Who declared war on Libya? Who wanted to bomb Syria until the public said no?

Thai’s the stupidest thing that has ever been proposed. Yeah right, the US or the European Union attacking Russia. I’m sure that that none of these people proposing an attack on Russia. All they have to do is learn from history. Napoleon and Hitler tried their best to conquer Russia, and they were all defeated. Historically speaking, only Gengis Khan, and his “GOLDEN HOARD” has ever “CONQUERED” Russia, from the east. So, what Russia really has to worry about will be the Chinese coming from the east. Simple reason, China’s population is increasing by leaps and bounds, and they have no other place to go but EAST WARD. Russia also has all the raw materials that China needs to survive.

Given that the Russian homeland has been invaded by the Mongols, the French and the Germans historically, small wonder why Russians have a fear of invasion ingrained into their culture.

America has always gone above and beyond to do our part in the world. Lately, some of our leaders have left a lot to be desired. - Also, too much attention is given to pop “culture” icons who don’t have enough gumption to come in out of the rain in a monsoon. They do tend to burn out young; but there are a zillion wannabes ready to take up their “iconic” careers. - I’m almost 70, or near to it; and if this new crop of yayhoos don’t grow up, there won’t be an America there for them when us old ones kick the bucket. - My 90 year old Texas aunt just died this week; she would have taken up arms and defended this country; but that mindset appears to be dying out if Obama is any indication.

The Kremlin’s Troll Army: Moscow is financing legions of pro-Russia Internet commenters

A June article by Max Seddon of BuzzFeed reported the Kremlin was spending millions of dollars to pay English-speaking Russians to promote President Vladimir Putin and his policies in U.S. media like Fox News broadcasting and The Huffington Post and Politico news sites. Trolls are reportedly expected to manage multiple fake accounts and post on news articles 50 times a day, often with sentiments as simplistic as “Putin makes Obama look stupid and weak!”

Open Mic Catches Obama Asking Medvedev for Space on Missile Defense
March 26, 2012

"In a private conversation about the planned U.S.-led NATO missile defense system in Europe, President Barack Obama asked outgoing Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for space on the issue.

This is my last election,” Obama told Medvedev. “After my election I have more flexibility.”

“I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” Medvedev said, referring to incoming President Vladimir Putin."

__________________________________________________

Obama was talking with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev when neither of them realized that their conversation was being picked up by microphones. Here is what they said:

Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved, but it’s important for him to give me space.”

Medvedev: “Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you ...”

Obama: “This is my last election. After my election, I have more flexibility.”

Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

“This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.” That statement tells us much about the president’s mindset.

The specific mention of missile defense is worrisome enough. Mr. Obama has retreated from the missile defense plan that was negotiated with European allies during the George W. Bush administration. Apparently, he is signaling Moscow that he intends to retreat further. The clear implication from the president’s comments is that he cannot tell the American people before the election what he plans to do after the election.

In addition, there is the phrase “on all these issues,” implying more is at stake than just missile defense.”

When it comes to keeping America safe, we shouldn’t be too flexible:
