I am requesting prayers for both my parents. My mother who is 71 and overweight after onset of diabetes broke her foot earlier in the week. Today she was on the porch with my father enjoying the nice WVa weather. My mom was wearing an orthopedic boot and it slipped causing her to fall. My father who is 76 reached out to catch her and she fell atop of him. My mother sustained bruised ribs and a broken leg. My father has a broken T-12 and is being flown out to another facility for emergency surgery to hopefully prevent him from paralysis. While in the ER getting his initial assessment they gave him a pain medicine which he has never had before and started to have an allergic reaction, they are attempting to stabilize him in transit. We are praying for the best outcome but also preparing for the worst. We ask for prayers to aide in their healing and recovery as well as for guidance on their future care

So sorry about this. Prayers for your Mom and Dad. At first I was not sure what kind of accident but now that I know even more prayers to your parents.

What a terrible sequence of events! I pray that they will recover and be back on the porch soon.
Prayers Up. Some people joke about them but I got my Mom a medical alarm that calls me if she activates it. I can talk to her no matter where in the house she is via the pendant she wears. Amazon has them and they are No Fee self monitor systems.
May I ask their names. They surely will be in my prayers. You just never know when something will happen!!! Hopefully your Dad can get the help he needs.
