‘Star Wars’ to Introduce First Gay Character

The Star Wars franchise quieted critics of its primarily white casts in November after the trailer for The Force Awakens revealed John Boyega as the first black stormtrooper, but now the series is growing more diverse and will reportedly feature its first lesbian character.

Del Rey Books editor Shelly Shapiro has revealed that the upcoming Star Wars novel Lords Of The Sith, written by Paul S. Kemp, will introduce the first canonical LGBT character in the world of the science fiction juggernaut.

Sci-fi website Big Shiny Robot reports the upcoming novel will feature a character named Moff Mors, who is described as “an Imperial who has made some very serious mistakes but she is an incredibly capable leader.“ Moff also happens to be a lesbian.

While a previous Star Wars book series and numerous video games have featured gay characters, none are considered to be part of the “official” Star Wars world, as outlined by new owner Disney last year....

Another reason why Star Trek is superior to Star Wars. The gaystapo has been DEMANDING an "openly gay Star Trek character" for at least 20 years. The response of the-powers-that-be (whoever is in charge of the franchise at that time) has always been "Wow! I didn't realize Star Trek has NEVER had a gay character! We MUST make an effort to be more inclusive. We'll definitely work on including one in the next movie/TV series". Then its tossed on the back burner and the following Star Trek incarnation is 100% homo free.

It drives the homo mafia nuts that Star Trek had the "first inner racial kiss" on TV but isn't "progressive" enough to include a homo for the sake of including a homo.

>> I thought Jar Jar Binks was the first Star Wars gay character. <<

Nope C3PO, way back in 1977. He may not be officially out of the closet, but the dude is gayer than Richard Simmons.

Star Trek has had gay characters, at least in the DS9 mirror universe where Ezri Dax and Major Kyra were an item.

RE:”Another reason why Star Trek is superior to Star Wars. The gaystapo has been DEMANDING an “openly gay Star Trek character” for at least 20 years.”

Also Star Wars was made a generation later than Star Trek was.

Star Trek died in the 1990s (of old age) while the Star Wars prequels (which I also thought were lame) brought in new much younger fans now in the 2000s, now young pro-gay adults.

Personally, I love the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and its way better than any of the Star Wars movies.

Star Wars VI the first one was a amazing show at the time 1977, but thats about it.

The gaystapo doesn’t count alternate versions of the characters who appeared in a single episode (after all, the “evil” Captain Kirk in The Enemy Within was an alcholic and a rapist, but that doesn’t mean the original series featured an alcoholic rapist character on the U.S.S. Enterprise). They want an “openly gay” character as a regular in a series or movie.

Not to mention the mirror universe is supposed to be a twisted, evil version of the “real” Star Trek universe, so by making the EVIL versions of the characters “bisexual”, it likely ticked off the gaystapo even more. They want “positive LGBT role models” in television. Other TV series with a liberal agenda always make the gay character into the most loveable and idealistic character.

Figured on something like this when George Lukas sold out to the Evil Empire, formerly known as Disney, for the last 3 installments. Why, George, why?. Oh, well, we still have the first 6... I still cry when Luke and his father make their peace and everyone is back together at the end!

PS: I don't get why people hated Jar Jar. He was a klutzy person who ended up becoming a hero- but was still kinda klutzy. I thought that was pretty cool!

They can make all the new characters openly gay. Then there won’t be anyone left in the galaxy due to lack of procreation, and Disney won’t have to make the next two installments!

The name “Sith” has always sounded like something a gay villain would call himself.

Mirror Kira was originally only supposed to be attracted to one woman, her regular universe counterpart, in the ultimate expression of narcissism. Writers of later episodes misunderstood this as the character being bisexual (NOT a lesbian, she also involved with male characters) and ran with it, putting her with Mirror Enzi (who later hooked up with the boobatious Mirror Leeta).

In any case, attractive ‘bisexual’ female characters don’t count to the gays, because their primary purpose is simply to titillate male viewers.

I know I was shouting “kiss” at the screen when Janeway ran into a double of herself, and I’m not even into her.

A lesbian in a novel is one thing. I still wouldn’t bet on them putting a sodomite on the movie/tv screen any time soon. Young males (they key demo for sci fi) don’t want to see that.

BTW, C-3PO maybe be fagitronic but I have it on good authority that R2-D2 is all about p***y and has filed several complaints about 3PO with human resources.

I understand that the character “Aaron” from the Walking Dead is gay in the comic books (I don’t read those) so I can understand why the writers kept his character gay on the television show. TWD is also rated TV-MA and directed towards adults.

Star Wars was purchased by Disney, which still agitates me as they are the ones who threw away the Expanded Universe.

Putting in a gay character to appease a small percentage of the population is disgusting.

The new movies (like the prequels) are being marketed to children. This is indoctrination.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they make Luke Skywalker gay even though in the Expanded Universe he marries Mara Jade and has children. Disney is a disgrace.

“...has filed several complaints about 3PO with human resources...”

Well, as I understand it, that issue came about because R2 told him to use Castrol 20W-50 lube, instead of 10W-30.

It’s a droid thing, I suppose.... or is it ‘roid... I dunno...

DS9 did have a same sex kiss in 1995. Jadiza Dax’s prior life was a married man and mentor to Sisko. In one episode, Dax met his/her wife on the space station. Dax falls in love with the wife all over again. But Trill law states that Trill spouses from prior lives can’t see each other again when the host body dies.

The LGBT folks are relativistic on what is good for them. Back in 1992, the LGBT folks were outraged at Basic Instinct. The idea of a sex crazed, bi-sexual murderer was a bad role model. Now, the LGBT praises Basic Instinct for being brave to let the world know that LGBT folks exist.
