IRS watchdog reveals Lois Lerner missing emails now subject of criminal probe
Washington Times ^ | February 26, 2015 | Stephen Dinan

The IRS’s inspector general confirmed Thursday it is conducting a criminal investigation into how Lois G. Lerner’s emails disappeared, saying it took only two weeks for investigators to find hundreds of tapes the agency’s chief had told Congress were irretrievably destroyed.

Investigators have already scoured 744 backup tapes and gleaned 32,774 unique emails, but just two weeks ago they found an additional 424 tapes that could contain even more Lerner emails, Deputy Inspector General Timothy P. Camus told the House Oversight Committee in a rare late-night hearing meant to look into the status of the investigation.

“There is potential criminal activity,” Mr. Camus said.

Democrats questioned the independence of Inspector General J. Russell George, who is overseeing the investigation, saying he’s injected politics into his work.

Some criminal charges should wipe that smirk off this pompous ass.

There is no ‘potential’ here. It is an absolute certainty what the IRS, from the top dog on down, colluded to commit criminal felonies. That little Gollum creep should be neck deep in prison right not.

The IRS needs to be shut down and the tax code reformed to what can fit on a postcard for your personal taxes.

This should be one of THE major issues for the 2016 election, because the IRS targeting conservatives is a unifying, as well as a recruiting issue for the centrists, because NOBODY wants to have the IRS being used as a political weapon when the opposing party is in power.

Even honest Libs (yea I know, but they do exist) can agree with that.

Oh and by the way punch in $100,000 salary and 20,000 dividends. Leave deductions empty. See what happens when you earn $120,000.

I'm having trouble deciding what to say about what I think would be justice for this guy. It gets to the point that saying certain things is in itself a sin.

He sure is an arrogant f**k, though, isn't he?

(Let the discerning reader understand.)

Justice? After six years of this administration and hoping for “Justice” I have grown numb to the IN-Justice that seems to result from scandal after scandal, followed by...nothing!

I won’t hold my breath, because I am reduced to “wishing” for justice.

“There is potential criminal activity,” Mr. Camus said.

As mad as I am, I still had to laugh at the word *potential* being used.

Thanks for the pings; post. GESTAPO of debt slavemasters subject of criminal probe?

6. But the grand nostrum will be a public debt...

7. It must not be forgotten that the members of the legislative body are to have a deep stake in the game. This is an essential point, and happily is attended with no difficulty. A sufficient number, properly disposed, can alternately legislate and speculate, and speculate and legislate, and buy and sell, and sell and buy, until a due portion of the property of their constituents has passed into their hands to give them an interest against their constituents, and to ensure the part they are to act.

8. (4) A great debt will require great taxes; great taxes, many taxgatherers and other officers; and all officers are auxiliaries of power.

9. The management of a great funded debt and a extensive system of taxes will afford a plea, not to be neglected, for establishment of a great incorporated bank. the use of such a machine is well understood. If the Constitution, according to its fair meaning, should not authorize it, so much the better. Push it through by a forced meaning and you will get in the bargain an admirable precedent for future misconstructions.

11. As soon as sufficient progress in the intended change shall have been made, and the public mind duly prepared according to the rules already laid down, it will be proper to venture on another and a bolder step toward a removal of the constitutional landmarks.
