And there is no way to defend that. Yet many on here will.

Lots of lost people who don’t know they’re lost. Am I judging? Yep. And I will be judged. “Judge not lest ye be judged”. So, with something as obvious as frauds raking in the bucks, I’ll judge since I’m going to be judged anyway.

@JoelOsteen tweets “When you get up in the morning, declare that something good is going to happen.”

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10,11

Joel tweets on November 26th – “The facts may tell you one thing. But, God is not limited by the facts. Choose faith in spite of the facts.”

Joel Osteen is the pastor of the largest church in America, Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas. His form and likeness appear on magazine covers at the supermarkets, on best-selling books, on board games, and on nearly every talk and interview show on television. He is very active on social media, especially on Twitter where he has logged over 12,000 tweets to over 3 million followers.

So just for fun tonight, I paid a visit to his Twitter account and read through every text for the past year. His most recent text was today, and his oldest, visible text was posted on November 25th, 2013. As I scrolled through his tweets, I made some shocking discoveries for the man referred to as “America’s Pastor”.

In the last year, Joel has tweeted roughly 806 times. He used the word God in a general sense 261 times, he never quoted the bible, and used the words “dream” or “dreams” as in achieving your dreams 66 times. Here is what searches for the following words turned up:

Jesus, Christ (2 tweets for Easter) – April 19th
Christ (1 tweet for Easter) – April 20th
Jesus (1 tweet as a plug for movie he was promoting “Son Of God) – February 27th
Scripture Quotes – None
God – 261 times
Dream – 47 times
Dreams – 19 times
Salvation – None
Hell – None
Repent – None
Sin – None
Sins – 1 time
Blessing – 18 times

It's interesting. The same people that will say that Joel Osteen is worse than Hugh Hefner because he pretends to be something he is not and is at best "Christian Lite" will tell us that we have to support whatever Republican is thrown our way in the general election even if they are at best "Republican Lite".

The hypocrisy is breathtaking.

That's a good point,

...For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

The do-gooder tolerance crowd will let loose the most heinous of criminals, so as per their own standards of judgment (or lack thereof), they should be tolerant of an afterlife surrounded by violent, unstable criminals. After all, that's what they deemed (judged) appropriate for their fellow man.

Osteen, though, is enough of a huckster that the presence of an abortuary nearby is pretty much irrelevant. Unless he's sending them referrals.
