No disrespect intended but that reasoning imparts qualities to animals that are non-existent. The decision is solely based on the reasoning of the eater, IMO.
There was a big crew of PETA whackjobs here last night protesting the inhumane treatment of circus animals.
You’d think they’d work on something important like abortion or black-on-black murders.
Can we stop the burnt offerings at medium-rare?
I had a girlfriend that claimed to be a vegan. I invited her to a friend’s house that I knew grilled some of the best hamburgers, but of course we had her a veggie burger. She stood there and nibbled and entire hamburger then made a burger with bun and gave up being a vegan forever. That’s two burgers. She was sooo sick afterwards! That was fun.
I beg to differ.
Proof positive that vegans are crazy.
That's funny!
I know Hindus who are vegans for religious reasons. But they have eaten that way all their lives, and they have an entire suite of Indian cuisine which has evolved around it.
Bacon isn’t only the gateway meat, it is the goal to strive for, the most addicting of all dr..., I mean meats.
the other sstuff is just for a little variety
What is the difference between vegan and vegetarian?
Vegans do not eat milk, eggs or fish, vegetarians do eat milk and eggs and sometimes fish.
Vegetarians typically won't eat meat, but they will usually eat eggs and dairy. Some will eat fish (pescetarians), and still others will eat poultry but draw the line at mammals.
Veganism is a more comprehensive lifestyle. A dietary vegan is the strictest sort of vegetarian, not eating any animal products at all. "Ethical" vegans will abstain from all animal products entirely, including honey, or from wearing leather or silk. At that level, veganism is often a quasi-religious lifestyle—it might be based on actual religious principles, or environmentalism, or a rejection of speciesism.
On the other hand, I am close to one couple who are vegan strictly for dietary reasons (after some health issues, it was a convenient way to eliminate cholesterol from their diet almost entirely). It's not a diet I would want to follow regularly, but they can do some incredible things with vegetables.
If you really want to go off the deep end, there's also "breatharianism," the belief that one can survive without food, on only air and sunlight . . .
