I have only used their customer service once, and it was very helpful.
I have the Pageplus 1200 talk/text plan for $29.95 per month (no contract, obviously) and I’m on auto-pay so it just bills my credit card automatically each month. The plan includes 1200 talk / 3000 text / 500mb data.
If you need Verizon coverage, Pageplus is the way to go!
500mb of data wouldn’t last me a week
