Prayer Request for our 12 Year Old Golden Retrieve

I am requesting Prayers for our 12 year old Golden Retriever - LADY. Lady has been feeling bad the last few days - laying around, eating very little and finding places to be away from the family.

She is a great pet and is loved by my wife and I and our Male Golden - Brody.

Goldens, I have heard, are some of the greatest family dogs there are. Sorry to hear Lady is sick. Does she have any condition that you know of? Have you taken her to the vets yet? Prayers lifted for her full recovery.

Did she eat something strange? Try to get her to a vet ASAP. Hopefully you have a 24-hr walk-in clinic that isn’t too far from you.

Goldens are such precious and beautiful dogs. They can be prone to kidney failure. If she eats a little and throws up, that is a bad sign that maybe there is a kidney problem. A vet told me that if kidney disease if discovered early, can be treated to slow down the progress of the disease.

Ah, the time we dread that always comes. The time that never gets easier. Good luck. She has had a good life. It's always best to remember that.

I lost one at 13 and two at nine and I still tear up when I think of them.

Lady is eating a little and drinking water. We have her scheduled in to our Vet Thursday AM (They are Closed today.)

That’s good.

Some of the symptoms you described reminded me of my Lab’s quick decline at 15 YO when she had kidney failure.

Not to pry but is Lady urinating normally? If not, I would be very worried.

Will keep her in prayer.
