A lot of slogans, cliches and contradictions rolled into some sort of nonsense, black therapeutic ideology.
Because there are lot of black so-called “leaders” that exploit them to make money.
I had an employee like that for a number of years (I inherited him when I was hired). He was angry that he had been passed over for my boss's boss' job years back, so he decided to never come to work (except once a year to meet with HR to update his medical/benefits options for the following year).
I was charged with trying to give him something he could work on and try to feel useful. I gave him planning projects that he could work on in Jamaica where he spent his time with his steel drum band. He never worked on anything.
He always just said "There's no way you can fire a black man in Philadelphia, so I'm going to do what I want to do".
Eventually he got old enough where we could buy him off with an early retirement package.

My last boss, an early 40s black guy, had me forcibly retired, against my will. I’m a late 50s white guy. Presumably retired for physical reasons. I was employed with a multinational.
I think the entire situation will level out as me march through on down the road to civilized human beings.

1971 was just a short time after MLK's death and it was the time when his dream began being trumped by the race card played by hustlers like Jackson, Sharpton, Waters, Jackson-Lee and others. They got rich playing their own supporters for fools and teaching jealousy and resentment instead of pride.
Can add Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton to that list.

We shuck, jive and kiss the butt of any big white corporation or university willing to give us a few dollars, and then wonder why our needs are continuously tossed to the back of the bus.
Well, so does everyone else. Everyone eventually sells out just to put food on the table. It's not just you. "Take this job and Shove It" is a white song, not a black one, although you are free to identify with it.
Those of us who come from educated families are often told that your job is to get a good education and make sure you are well-behaved so that a friendly white man will give you a job. Then, when the MBA, PhD, or MD finds himself in the unemployment line, he becomes so frustrated that he gives himself hypertension or ends up drinking his problems away after realizing the obvious: America doesn’t give a damn about you.
No, it doesn't care about you. And it doesn't care about me either. I have worked is some pretty soulless places. A few years ago a colleague died of cancer. People were sad for a few hours, but after that, it was shocking how quickly people seemed to forget he was ever there. When 5:00 comes, leave work, go back to your family, and be with someone that actually does care. Always prepare yourself for getting another job if you need it. Job security is a thing of the past.

The example you listed is one of the parts I ignored.
I found it interesting that the author is admitting there is a problem. That is at least a step in the right direction.

So I suppose he’s actually one of the guys they should be talking to about reparations, paid from his earnings.
My ancestors on Dad’s side bled to free black men, so they can whine to someone else about their TSSs.
