I agree. We shouldn’t give guns to apes. We should limit gun ownership to humans. And possibly some intelligent dogs and horses.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
So 10 years later the apes have been left alone to become powerful enough to try and take over the world? Did the US disarm or something during that time?

Keep guns out of the hands of the monkeys. The idea has some merit.

PLANET OF THE APES is a product of the late 60s and there are obvious racial overtones. I wouldn’t say it’s Hollywood PC.

Did I miss something? The article seemed to not include the bias.

I didn’t see the first remake and never had any plans to see this. I am glad that I shall miss absolutely nothing.

They could be paid back for this dido by the suggestion that they are *implying* that apes=blacks. Thus, they are racists.

There is only one “Planet of the Apes” movie and it is the original starring Charlton Heston. All of the others stink. That is all.

Read the comments on Variety. Uproarious. I keep going back and laughing. I think one of the best was referring to the ape Caesar riding a horse carrying an m4, the commenter said that that was a great picture of our commander in chief.

Didn’t the first one attempt to have Charlton Heston make some “antigun” point?
I think it was achieved in the editing of a cameo scene he was in.
