It is a “Push Poll” - designed to make you think that CO2 in the atmosphere (put there by man) is causing global warming.

No.

The question was, "What gas do most scientists believe causes temperatures in the atmosphere to rise?" To which, the answer is clear and uncontroversial and simply a statement of fact on the ground.

If it had been "What gas do most scientists correctly believe causes temperatures in the atmosphere to rise?" or "What gas do all scientists believe causes temperatures in the atmosphere to rise?" then it would be a push poll.

Most scientists believe CO2 is a green house gas and cause temperatures to increase. That is true and true.

Does the CO2 released by man cause climate change, I don’t believe so.

I agree about AGW but I have seen graphs that show CO2 to be a lagging indicator. But, then, anyone can make a graph, so, who knows?

I hope none of this is being taught in public schools. I demand a more culturally sensitive version be offered for minority quiz-takers. In order to avoid a crippling loss of self-esteem, I also demand that minority quiz-takers be given bonus points.

However, as a FReeper, I also demand that any white man over 65 who did not get 13/13 be forced to give up his voter registration card and Driver's License and share living quarters with a LGBTG registered Democrat with colorful tattoos and a prison record.

Yeah I knew what they wanted me to answer but the question is written incorrectly. "most"...yeah, right.

Is it probable that 50% plus 1 of scientists believe in global warming? Yes, it is.

Scientists, as a group, are quite remarkably liberal politically.

Now whether that 50% +1 is right is another question entirely.

You have to be careful about wording.

It doesn’t matter whether C02 is a leading or following indicator if it is not the cause or if our contribution is not a significant portion of that cause.

Neither has been proven to be true.
