While some American women have fallen victim to the idea that the government will take care of them from the cradle to the grave there are others who have learned how to use firearms to protect themselves and their families.

Annie once shot a cigar out of the mouth of Kaiser Wilhelm’s mouth ... at his request.
She just had a great combination of vision, tracking, stability and control. Some of it you can improve a lot by practice, but some of it is what God gives you.
Great show!
ANNIE OAKLEY:
Got no checkbooks, got no banks,
Still, I’d like to express my thanks
CHORUS:
We’ve got the sun in the morning
And the moon at night.
Somehow, this cheery, very American song now represents Obama’s America in a dark and depressing way.
One of my favorite Americans of all time.
One of my favorite Americans of all time.
Quite a love story, actually. When at last she died he only survived her for a couple of weeks. The light of his life was gone.

[Note: Glock commercial “wring girl”.] Conservatives think this is the solution to physical danger in society. Changing minds with awareness of the risks certain actions entail will put an end to bad behavior. My money is on the conservative solution, but it’s likely effectiveness is why liberals don’t want it tried by more women.
The great change in women’s attitudes will happen when a threshold of gun carrying women is reached, so that it becomes a “female rule”.
That is, women will expect and demand that other women be armed in public, solely because “It is something that girls and women do.”
The proper term for it is a “social sanction”. Many of these exist in all times and all places, depending on the times. They are unwritten laws that are enforced by everyone. Social expectations of behavior.
And when enough women are armed to reach a threshold of opinion, suddenly carrying a gun will be the normal thing for women to do.

One of the great love stories, and all true. The highly fictionalized musical (which I love) doesn’t do the true story justice.
I’d hit it.
