Did it my self Dehydrated
1/26/14 | kartographer

I posted a thread yesterday about dehydrateding and then vacuum packing your own food.

I like may preppers have been disappointed by opening cans of dehydrated food to find the can is as much as half empty.

I am making a batch of vegtable soup today and I am using a jar of dehydrated Roma Tomatoes. Below you will find pictures of these tomatoes that I put up in March of 2010.

Dehydration will lead to organ shut down........I suggest you quit fooling around and start drinking more water........

Learning how to cook with dehydrated food is a must for any prepper. So is learning how to cook fresh ground grain but that is another thread. I cook something with dehydrated food on an average of twice a week. Aside from soups (naturally) the best thing I have found for dehydrated food is omelets. You get the yummyness of heaps of veggies without the sogginess.

Did you use a dehydrator or the sun ?

I LOVE dehydrated tomatos .... but they wouldn't last around me ... I'd probably eat a quart just sittin' around surfin' FR.

Dried 'maters have a distinct flavor all their own ... if I was God, I grow them dried.

Just sayin'

” I expect good flavor.”

My dehydrated Morel mushrooms taste even better than fresh ones. Dehydration seems to really concentrate the flavor.

I have a Cabela’s Dehydrator sitting in my basement. Bought it 3 years ago and never took it out of the box. Perhaps I should.

"From your title I initially thought you weren’t getting enough to drink LOL"

I thought he had intentionally dehydrated himself.
