Skip to comments.Free Republic Steam Gamers' Group
Posted on 10/17/2013 10:26:52 PM PDT by Crazieman
This was brought about by an idea in an earlier thread this week discussing Valve and PC Gaming. I had no idea how many other Freepers had Steam.
A cursory glance indicated no existing groups for Free Republic, so I decided to create one.
Request an invite at: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FreeRepublicGamers
Most of all, have fun, and stay true to the Constitution.
Bookmarked for later.
Okay, I don’t want to make the group public, and invites can’t be requested (never made a group before) so... freepmail me, or even ask to friend me on Steam itself (Crazieman).
The more members added, the easier the invite ability, members must invite it seems.
Is that the game?
It is just another place for Freepers to gather, in this sense, a subset of like minded gaming Freepers. The general idea is to hopefully have the same games at some point and play together and have fun.
Freepers play computer games, I though Solitare was the only computer game freepers play...
But that was on a Sparc IPX "Breadbox" computer running Solaris 1.1.1, -and quite a challenging game it was!
Especially with those "Eyes" watching wherever the mouse pointer traveled to.
Feel free to seek out and invite other Freepers.
And Hearts. Oh, and Age of Empires :)
Shadow does the Tech Ping
I dunno if there is a gamer ping list
don’t forget Candy Crush
I'm not a big gamer, but I've been waiting for a game to be released called 'State of Decay', a zombie themed game. My understanding is that there is an early version available now on Steam.
Once my work schedule eases a bit, I plan to download it and waste vast amounts of time.
has a demo of the game been released?
Personally, I’ve been waiting for Battlefield 4 (on the POS Origin...) as well as the (hopefully) eventual PC release of GTA 5
I’m not online to Steam very often (Steam startup is offline), but if any other FReepers play RACE 07 (other than WTCC) I’d be interested.
Having never made a Steam Group before, only having joined them, it seems I need to “Friend” you before I can invite to the group. I do not wish to allow the group to be an open invitation.
I am ‘Crazieman’ on Steam. Friend me for a request to the group.
Fun gaming, you all!
And Chess Titans.
The full game was released for Xbox first, and I think there was a free demo before that release. I don't have an Xbox, and don't currently play any PC games, but my Xbox owning brother told me about the game and that a PC version was forthcoming. I think it's now available on Steam, but this version requires an Xbox controller (not keyboard and mouse). I haven't seen anything indicating that there's a demo version available for PC.
Again, not a big gamer, so all of what I just posted could be wrong.
Have to tell my son about this when he gets compy privileges back.
I played the BF4 beta. It was pretty good.
I'll kick back with my Xbox 360 version in remembrance of you and other similar poor souls who can't yet play that amazing game! :0)
Added you to my friends list, looking forward to the invite!
When I get home from Work I will friend you.
Ping for later. I play Crusader Kings 2 through Steam, but I don’t usually get involved with the Steam Community. Now, knowing that there is a fellow Freeper out there, I may change my mind and contact you on Steam.
I have a different handle on Steam, but will try to message you the next time I’m gaming.
Fus ro dah!
State of Decay is out on Steam right now in early access. It’s released as an xbox controller only game until “officially” add mouse support. crude mouse support can* be enabled by editing a game xml file right now.
The game has pretty good reviews, and although the controls are lacking at the moment the game is pretty much finished since it’s a console port.
You are correct sir!
Currently messing with skyrim.
I just sent a friend request under the name joebuck76
