Given that I don't trust this president, it's becoming increasingly difficult not to look at this entire Syrian episode with increasingly jaundiced eyes. Obama is a lot of things, many of which are vile, but he is most definitely NOT stupid. Therefore, we have to look at events in Syria in a different context.
So we won't go there.
Instead, let's briefly look at recent events, and draw your own conclusion:
*The Syrian Civil War has been going on for a long time, and over 100,000 have been killed, many of whom tragically are civilians and children.
*For months, Obama has done nothing about it, has said almost nothing about it.
*Now, poison gas is used. That is a fact, though the jury is still out on who used it..Assad or the opposition.
*Obama now decides that the red line that he declared last year, ( but he really didn't mean it) has been crossed, so Assad MUST therefor be punished. IMMEDIATELY, or else terrible consequences will befall America..( for instance, Al Qeda will drop a nuke on Charlestown, SC)
*But not really punished. Because it will be a careful, limited, SMALL, surgical strike, designed NOT to remove Assad..but to accomplish we-as-yet-don't-know-what? Indeed, The WH has asked the Pentagon some 50 times to revise the plans for the strike. Those of us of a certain age will sadly remember LBJ and Robert Strange McNamara sitting in the Oval Office and picking out the targets in North Vietnam they'd allow to be bombed, while at the same time Soviet cargo ships in Haiphong were safely unloading the weapons that would soon be used to kill American troops. And Obama has announced the planned strike far enough in advance to allow Assad to disperse the WMDs and his military assets, to surround them with civilian hostages.
*At the last minute, he decides to go to Congress for approval of the strike. He did NOT do this in Libya. It's unlikely to pass, but will delay any action for several weeks.
*Everyone inside the beltway is now busy talking about the civil war within the GOP.
But here's what we are busy NOT talking about, as this farce plays itself out:
1. Benghazi. The one year anniversary is this week, yet nothing has been done about the 4 Americass who were killed. However, the 4 State Dept employees originally suspended have been reinstated.
2. Obamacare begins next month. It's a complete disaster..a fiasco of epic proportions. Premiums are sky high. They're busy hiring gawd knows who-or-what as enrollers.
3. The whole NSA scandal..spying on Americans
4. The economy sucks, and is worsening.
5. The IRS scandal...it goes well inside the WH.
6. The debt ceiling has been reached, or is about to be.
7. Amnesty/immigration reform.
<> And so much more.....
If one asks "cui bono?" in this mess, there is really only one answer. Obama
And here's a bonus question, a tie-breaker if you will:
Who will be remain in office longer, Assad or Boehner?
Obama’s interest in invading non-enemy Syria has nothing to do with Syria, poison gas, or children.
Obama’s interest in bombing non-enemy Syria has everything to do with creating a long-lasting, controversial, DISTRACTION for Congress in order to keep Congress from defunding Obama”care”/Boehnerkare.
Obama’s “Red Herring” for the 9-11 Benghazi Massacre Coverup was Susan Rice’s fake Video story.
Obama’s “Red Herring” for distracting Congress until Obama”care”/ Boehnerkare kicks in October 1 is Obama’s “Crossing HIS personal Red Line” distraction speech.
Obama speaks only for Obama, not the US Federal Government or America.

“Jellyfish Spine” Boehner as Speaker of the House is essential to Obama’s continued unchallenged destruction of the US Constitution.
Nothing will change as long as cave-in artists Boehner and Cantor are in leadership roles in the US House of Representatives.
If Boehner is replaced as Speaker with a fighter such as Col. Allen West, then the Articles of Impeachment for B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, can be quickly issued.

It’s “maskirovka”, meaning strategic deception.
One problem making this possible is that Bashar Assad looks like a pasty-faced dork with harmless blue eyes. Not the glowering swarthy Saddam Hussein, the nutcrazy narcissist Muammar Gaddafi, or the turbaned shovelbearded Khamenei & Co, but someone who looks like he couldn’t run a Seven Eleven.
There is many things at play here which is bigger than some WMD in Syria.
Who will control the Caliphate? The Sunni’s or the Shiites? Which means the war is between Iran and Saudi Arabia. Obama is Sunni. He turned his back on the Iranian people because he calculated a free Iran is the biggest obstacle to the Caliphate.
The Caliphate needs to be contiguous. Which means Syria is smack dab in the middle. Which exposes Obama, and the coverup. The enemy of my enemy in this case(Al Queada) is not my friend. Like we used Al Queada against the Taliban, we are doing the same against Syria. Russia offering to take Syrias WMD off the table indicates a Russian victory in cold war politics.
And now the real reason. Gas. The Saudis need to get theirs to market in Europe, the Russians have their own they want to get to Europe. Block the Saudis and you monopolize European energy. Europe then bankrolls Russia to take over Europe(in the ideology game) if the Saudis get their gas to Europe, Europe bankrolls the Saudis for the Caliphate.
But to do this one thing has to happen. America needs to be marginalized to a point where they become irrelevant.
And that is why Obama is President.
