So much for global warming, eh?

Al Gore has got to be pissed.
I have seen this but only on rivers. In Toledo Ohio the Maumee would freeze completely over and the water would backup behind it. Since there was no place to go the water went under the ice lifting the ice up and on the shore. I have seen 4-5ft thick slabs as big as a house move quite a ways inland!!
Can anyone say, “mini-ice age” in the era of “global warming”?
Dear Algore,
Thanks to global warming, an ice wave ate my house in the middle of May. Please send $10 million or I’m coming to live in your garage.
It was 108F out in Rancho Mirage today. Could’ve used some of that for some Margaritas.
Me too. But in mid-May. Not that far south (I mean, we're talking Mille Lacs, not Red Lake).
Not a bit of doubt, this is facilitated by global warming. Were it not for the warming, the ice would be solid and immovable on the surface of the lake :o)
(do I get the cigar?)
These ice heaves were reported on IceAgeNow.info.

Really it’s not all that unusual. It’s a little unusual in that it’s happening a full month and a half later than you’d expect it to but it happens pretty regularly.
On Lake Superior some years you see 3 story high pile ups.
It was strange, like those slow, thick lava floes you see sometimes in Hawaii, but it was ice. Making weird rhythmic noises, sort of like an old steam engine train.
It slowly oozed up, then started banking up against stationary objects, but the pressure apparently was still increasing, because it started busting in patio doors and knocking gutter downspouts off. Kept on pushing right into the condos after busting through the door.
You’ve been reading “Calvin and Hobbes,” yes?
