The Weak and Unacceptable Underbelly of S649

By Nancy Thorner and Ed Ingold -

President Obama is deliberately ignoring a solution in favor of a long-time “progressive” goal of disarming Americans. Blaming violence on a particular segment of society or region doesn’t lend itself to solutions. Not withstanding, and especially since Newtown, there has been a blizzard of propaganda against the NRA and its supporters in Congress which seem perfectly legitimate to anti-gun advocates. It is always easier to blame an organization with an easily recognized set of initials than the millions of its members and tens of millions of supporters who write their representatives in Congress in support of their Constitutional rights.

Accordingly, in the aftermath of Newtown, S649 (Safe Communities, Safe Schools Act of 2013) was fashioned. A “motion to proceed” (which in reality is a policy vote) could be brought to the floor of the Senate during the week of April 8th. Not only would S649 undermine America’s constitutional eights, but it would have done little to prevent the horrific massacre of Newtown, Connecticut. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/113/s649/text?utm_campaign=govtrack_email_update&utm_source=govtrack/email_update&utm_medium=email

Damn right she should have a firearm for protection in the rural heartland

A lot of folks here just itching to be the first to bag a documented Sasquatch

I heartily advise her to carry and keep a sharp eye

And avoid areas where jerky is consumed daily

Right. Because it’s SO much more dangerous living on an Iowa farm than in Flint, MI or Chicago, IL.

I don’t feel I need a gun living in my nice suburb. But if I lived in a city, I’d really want multiple weapons with large capacity magazines, to protect me from the criminals who all have guns.

This is a racist comment. If I told Michelle, “if I lived in Harlem, I’d want to own a .45, how would she take it?

There are very few black people in Iowa. I once went there with a friend, and he remarked that he did not see another black guy for three days, and the first one he saw was gay - and this was before Gaydar was invented. However, last I heard they don’t shoot black people for sport there.

This was a racist statement be our beloved first lady. What do you think?

Ubama is just trying to calm down his liberal base and prepare the scumbags for disappointment.

You can’t be a racist unless you are a member of a superior race.
No.. Wait.. Well, yeah, I guess.. (shrug) I dunno. That’s what the minorities say, anyway.

The only thing I have to say about the Equal Gun Rights subject is that their own people elected those gun grabbers.

Although I do have sympathies, because I live in one of the bluest states.
