Our resident chef carlo3b (Carlo Morelli), is in urgent need of prayer.
On Tuesday he underwent a complicated surgery and is in ICU on a ventilator. On Wednesday his kidneys were not functioning properly and he was taken back into surgery. His daughter reports that he is doing much better, but still in danger.
He has many FRiends here at Free Republic and I'm sure he and his family would appreciate your prayers and any good thoughts you could send his way.

Congratulations! Are you home yet? I’ve got work for you to do. I need encouragement to do my stupid exercises (in recovery from a full kneww replacement.) You always know the right thing to say. It’s Sat. noon, and I’m still in PJs and looking for excuses to stay this way until church on Sun. Now we’ve bucked you up, I need you to buck me up! Luv to ya, C.

One of the best things I ever did was to get a knee replacement. (aside from becoming a FReeper, of course) The hard part is the physical therapy, and I use to call them ‘elder abusers’, but that bending is so important, hurt as it does. I don’t even think of my knee any more — after years of soreness and difficulty walking. Hang in there!

Among other things, Chef Carlo was SO generous in donating copies of his fabulous FR "Clinton Legacy Cookbook" for door prizes during our Freeper fundraising cruises which I organized as "Bahama Mama".
All I had to do was freepmail him and the cookbooks (full of freeper recipes) were shipped to me post haste to take on the voyages. His generosity made the cruises more fun, the winning freepers LOVED their cookbooks.....and they do till this day. Nice FR keepsake.
