I’ve had my issues with Christie, but it’s kind of hard to trash the President as you are touring devastation and at the same time asking him to help. If a Democrat Governor did that to a GOP President we’d all be jumping on him for the low-class piece of trash that he is.

NY Mayor Bloomberg did. I could understand expressing appreciation to the Feds for a timely response but the schoolgirl gushing Crispy Cream did over Jughead was nauseating. FEMA has been preparing for this event for a week. The response would've been the same no matter who was prez. Jughead just gets to act presidential and pretend he's leading the rebuilding efforts. Crispy was played like a chump by Jughead. Crispy is just another RINO.

Looks to me like Christie can’t really be trusted. He’s out for his own self interest and that’s it. Too bad he was trusted enough to be keynote speaker for Romney. Hope Romney keeps him at arms length from now on.

I am a Christie fan but I felt the same way as Rush when I read his comments. The same quality that makes Christie refreshing, his plain talk and unabashed enthusiasm, permits his tongue to go where his brains haven’t arrived.
Most voters have no idea who Christie is so probably won’t have much impact. My walking buddy had never heard of Benghazi and she’s a school teacher. She’s not stupid, just works all day, messes with kids, dinner, activities etc and is not a news junkie like I am. There are lots of those out there but all my friends still vote Republican. They do know enough to know that BO is horrible.
What makes it disappointing is the fact that we all know that no Rat politician would ever do the same for a Republican President.

True, but rats will be rats. We expect that kind of low life, vile, thug response from a Dem. They are thoughtless and classless and don’t care about anyone except their cause and their political future. That’s why we need to rid the ship of the rats. Conservatives always take a higher road because it is just the way they are built.
I think Christie has been outstanding and calling the FEMA support like he see it is fine. I believe him when he said it’s not about politics. Now Politicly, I see it as a positive for Romney for a few reasons. 1) Comparing Obama to Christie, Obama looks like the looser he is and 2) Christie’s attention grab makes the NY leaders look like second fidddle (Obama doublecrossing his fellow dems). Christie the real leader and he supports Romney. Christie smart to work Obama to get the support to help NJ. On Rush’s point, “we are against big Gov”. The process is what it is today. This is a major disaster. The play I would worry about would be the use of the EPA to steal privite property for the good of the people.
