Not bullied, more like bowled over by Raditz and Biden tag teaming him.
This guy?
Ryan should not have let Biden lie about Ryan sending him a letter requesting stimulus funds.
I disagree somewhat about this part: “But this is where Ryan, like most conservatives in similar situations, fell short in the field of battle. As difficult as it is, conservatives have to be prepared to play as dirty as the left and Ryan’s approach was all too decent. Thus Ryan perhaps forfeited he field to the bully Biden.”
It is true that Ryan should have refused to be so-often interrupted by his opponent and the moderator, as Romney so admirably refused to do last week.
But for the most part, Ryan’s cool-but-not-cold demeanor was perfect for assuring UNDECIDED voters — the true intended audience, after all — that “I’m the mature, sober, serious one who is NOT rattled by this fossilized clown of a VP over here.” Biden was trying to rattle Ryan, and that failed. (Biden also was trying to rouse the base, but who cares? They’re already in the bag for Obama.)
No he was not bullied . I admire him for tolerating that old coot for an hour and a half with out hitting the nurse button so Biden could go suck on some tapioca.
Well said and apparently it made Ryan look good. This was a lot of people’s first look at Ryan and Joe’s behavior helped Ryan create a favorable impression of his personality.
Obama needed Joe to please the “red meat” liberals and he did. A bad sign of the state of his campaign though that he has to worry more about pleasing his base instead of reaching out to ‘moderates’ this late in the campaign.
And here’s how civilly two sitting US House Democrats (redistricted together) debate LOL!

“...one aggressively seized the shoulder of his opponent during a debate, yanked him toward his chest and shouted, “You want to get into this?”
I don’t think Ryan allowed himself to be bullied. I think Ryan realized that Biden was making an a$$ of himself, so he gave him enough rope to do it.
Ryan looked like a rational adult male.
Garbage. Ryan did exactly what he had to do. The left is not smiling today.
Two things turned me off immediately when I started watching the debates: that highly unattractive, unkempt and unprofessional female moderator who was unable to control the proceedings and the condescending sneer on Smirk’n Joe’s face.
Was able to suffer through the first five minutes before I had to refill my drink and change channels to watch Steelers/Titans.
Sheesh, this was no debate — this was an attempt by the MSM and the VP to publicly mug a candidate. What a total farce.
Bullied no, sullied yes.

YES - my immediate reaction was that he was BULLIED. It was definitely two against one....
Speaking as Wisconsinite who has lived through two years of Scott Walker battles, I thought Ryan was fine last night.
During the Walker mess, the left would taunt, yell and cajole at Walker and his allies much like crazy uncle Joe did last night. And they always assumed that their hysteria was playing well with the general public because it played well with them.
Walker just stayed calm and on point. He NEVER got rattled or lashed out in an emotional response. Yet we all wanted to him to lash out, so we’d “feel better” for the moment.
Eventually the middle of the road voter realized the left here in Wisconsin, was downright nuts and completely unhinged. The Leftists in this state would normally get 56-58 percent of the vote in every election, but not anymore.
If Walker had gone all “MSNBC” on his opposition the past two years, I don’t think he’d have the power that he does now.
We just need to play the long game and let what happened last night sink in.
nah, wrong. Conservatives need to be the calm in th storm which is what Ryan demonstrated
