I did once in person see a real live USAF LTC with a CIB. Turned out he was prior US Army.

This photo looks familiar. Seems to me a couple of months ago it was posted with a whole list of things that were wrong. I’m completely ignorant of military ribbons and such so it just looks to me like he eats a lot of Cracker Jack. I thought it looked familiar: Link here

I think this was taken at the military base he tried to get on. The icing on the cake was that he was wearing tan combat boots (bloused) with this get up. I would have taken him out back where they keep the working dogs and let them keep him company for a while.

In one word,Pathetic! That being dealt with, I’ve been a bit perplexed by the number of ribbons displayed in these latter days by young, barely-dry-behind-the-ears mil pers that couldn’t have more than 3 or 4 yrs ACDU, including boot camp.

Chief enlisted aircrew wings, I had to look that one up.
His small arms ribbon can only have one cluster (his has 2) to denote both pistol and rifle qual, IIRC.
Most of those ribbons are new to me, can’t see how 3/4 of what he is displaying legit.
