The Eagles
The classic '70s rock group The Eagles, along with special guests The Dixie Chicks and Keith Urban, will perform at Hersheypark Stadium on June 15.
Tickets are $195, $125, $85 and $45. They go on sale April 26 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Giant Center Box Office, LiveNation.com, HersheyEntertainment.com or by phone at 877-598-6504 or 717-534-3911. American Express card owners will have early access to tickets beginning 10 a.m. Wednesday through 10 p.m. Sunday.
The Eagles, consisting of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit, will perform such hits from their more than 35-year career as Hotel California, Desperado, Life In The Fast Lane, Lyin Eyes, Take It To The Limit, One Of These Nights, Heartache Tonight, and more. The band, which has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, last performed in Hershey in 2008.
The Dixie Chicks -- Martie Maguire, Emily Robison and Natalie Maines -- will hit the stage for the first time in four years, performing songs from all three of their albums including Wide Open Spaces, Goodbye Earl, and Not Ready to Make Nice.
Three-time Grammy Award winner Urban has sold nearly 15 million albums worldwide. His songs include "Days Go By," "Sweet Thing," Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me," "You'll Think of Me," "Better Life," and Billboard's Country Song of the Decade, "Somebody Like You."
I think the Dixie Chicks are a "negative draw" on the ticket that may leave some arenas less than sold out.
I'm guessing that super lib loudmouth Don Henley fought to get them on the bill.
“Its either opening for The Eagles or headlining at the Tick Tock Inn.”
Exactly:
“The band made few public appearances until releasing the Rick Rubin-produced studio album, Taking the Long Way, in 2006. “Not Ready to Make Nice,” the first single and video, turned heads for confronting their reputation head-on but did not the single did not well on the charts. However they mounted a North American tour of arenas, titled “The Accidents & Accusation Tour,” but had to cancel and rearrange many of the dates due to slow tickets sales in conservative areas. As a result they added dates in Canada and visited Australia.”
...nothing since.

And this is news because...
“And this is news because...”
It’s good to know when the enemy is on the move.
This is news because Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks trashed Bush, Texas, and America while on tour overseas. That story made quite a splash a few years ago. You new here?
They were forced out of country music and won’t be welcomed back. I’m going to buy another Toby Keith CD today.
Frankly, I am quite shocked.
You have to understand this is THE MOST CONSERVATIVE AREA OF PENNSYLVANIA. Hershey told Obozo to take a hike when he tried rent out the park.
I am sure that dead is right. They probably had to take the crap to get the good stuff.

I wonder what would happen if a band stood up and announced...WE are ashamed of Barack Obama...... (With his murky past it’s hard to tell where to be ashamed Barry is from..LOL) But I’m ashamed he’s the President!!
Agreed ... and I never thought the Eagles would be that desperate, either.
You accidently typed an ‘i’ instead of an ‘a’ on that second word.
“Just a reminder - arent they still ashamed former President Bush was from Texas?”
Talk about a coincidence. I’m still ashamed that President Obama is from Kenya! Of course, I’m saying this in front of Americans, not a bunch of leftist Eurotrash.
