Nor mellow with age...
“Just forget about the slavery thing.”
Only to a liberal idiot the South had slavery and the North was as innocent and pure as the wind driven snow.
“I mean that thing the South went to war to preserve. “
That assumes the North went to war to end slavery, and they didn’t. Not very bright to try that angle.
I’m not a liberal you toad. The North didn’t go to war to end slavery. It went to war to preserve the Union and won. The South went to war to preserve slavery and lost everything.
“Im not a liberal you toad.”
You have shown by your posts a hatred of anything southern. Such bias is extremely liberal as it is nothing but a stereotypical hatred demonstrated by liberals, yankee liberals at that.
“It went to war to preserve the Union and won.”
Typical liberal slant, but untrue.
Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable a most sacred right a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world. Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can, may revolutionize, and make their own, of so much of their territory as they inhabit.-—Abe Lincoln
Shutup. You bring nothing but snark so take your snark and go back to your Caitlyn Jenner threads.
Yep - just like a fart in an elevator, everyone knows that pokie is back.
Having a "right to rebel" does not suppress or negate others from possessing an equal or superior right to defend against that rebellion.
Those are your words, not Lincoln's. Lincoln didn't say anything about tyranny being a prerequisite to forming a new government. He said, "Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up and shake off the existing government and form a new one that suits them better."
He further stated, "Nor is this right confined to cases in which the whole people of an existing government may choose to exercise it. Any portion of such people that can, may revolutionize, and make their own, of so much of their territory as they inhabit."
In addition, your brazen attempt at revisionism falls flat on it's face. The election of Lincoln in 1860 insured that 1) a tyrant would takeover the government and 2) the South possessed all the wherewithal they needed to form their own government, which is a historical fact. At least until the day when you revisionists are completely successful in eliminating all vestiges of The Confederate States of America.
Having a "right to rebel" does not suppress or negate others from possessing an equal or superior right to defend against that rebellion.
Lincoln's government was not on the defensive since Southern secession clearly did not have as a goal to abolish the yankee government. If the goal of Southern secession was to topple the Lincoln regime then DisHonest Abe would have been obligated to defend against that.
Try sticking with the facts and forget about your fantasies.
I've forgotten the reason why you called me 'pokie'. It had something to do with your mother or sister, right?
Stay classy pokie.
Take your own advice.
Sure pokie.
I posted that every time there is an unpleasant small I look around and there you are. Simple truth.
I posted a reply to your idiotic misinterpretation of a Lincoln quote.
And I posted a mild scold to your offensive inclusion of my family members. No decent FReeper would ever stoop to such a childish and puerile tactic - but a bottom-feeder such as yourself falls all over himself to jump to it.
Stay classy pokie.
Your pathetic attempt at revisionism might work with the group of bottom feeders that you obviously associate with but it won't cut it with me.
Of course, I knew the suggestion to take your own advice would be well above your abilities to act on. You're nothing but a sniveling, snarky, classless little toad.
Stay classless, fockrr.
And that’s the thing I appreciate the most about you pokie - you provide the punctuation to everyone’s “worst” depictions of the lost cause loser. You come on like a pit-yorkie - full of noise and bullsnot and not much else.
Welcome back pokie!
Name calling: the trademark of the libtard loser.
Wooooosh! The sound of irony going right over your head.
