So when did Ann's and Obama Sr.'s "whatever happened happened fast" wedding happen? For no apparent reason, confusion abounds among Obama's biographers over the wedding date:
1. Dreams claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were in married "in 1960"; similarly, Mendell's 2007 book claims that the couple were married "sometime in late 1960" when they "slipped off alone to the island of Maui"; and both Obamaland (2008) by Ron Jacobs (with contributor David Maraniss) and a 2007 Washington Post article claim that the two were married "late in 1960."
2. A 2007 Chicago Tribune article vaguely claims that Ann and Obama Sr. were married "six months before" Barack's birth on Aug 4, 1961 -- or, in other words, sometime in early 1961.
3. An April 2008 Time article by Amanda Ripley, as does Maraniss's August 2008 article, gives a specific date of February 2, 1961 for the wedding, apparently based on Ann's and Obama Sr.'s 1964 divorce records – mysteriously appearing on the web. But since fake documents have been known to appear on the web, Obama's biographers, Ripley and Maraniss, might want to verify the 1964 divorce documents – especially since a Feb. 2, 1961 marriage date for "Ann and Obama Sr." wasn't reported in any Honolulu Advertiser or Honolulu Star-Bulletin marriage lists from February 1961. Take the February 8, 1961 Star-Bulletin, which listed eighteen marriages from Feb. 3, Feb. 4, and Feb. 6, and no Feb. 2 marriages, and the February 7, 1961 Advertiser, which listed eleven marriages from Feb. 2 to 4, including two Feb. 2 marriages.

I remember when Clinton was president and stories were going around about him having illegitimate kids, people wanted a DNA sample. They said if Clinton went to a bar for a beer with the voters, the Secret Service would grab his mug and take it. If he wiped his mouth with a napkin after eating a hot dog, SS got the napkin. I suppose they are even more vigilant now.

Beat me to it. Obama’s father had a wife in Africa, and cannot marry a second one in Hawaii. Of course, according to Muslim law, he could do that, but it was not legal in 1961.

At that time, he threatened to kill both his wife and the newborn baby with a butcher knife. None of that, including the fact that they separated right after the baby was born, immediately after the incident with the knife, kept her from naming the baby after King, Sr.
Leslie King, Sr. never saw his son as a child, and never supported his son financially, though King, Sr's own father did supported his grandchild until his death in 1930.
Leslie King, Jr. wouldn't see his father again until he was 17. He kept his father's legal name until he was 22 or so.
Leslie Lynch King, Jr. became Gerald Rudolph Ford, Jr., at that time, named after his mother's second husband.
What I want to know is what kid is named fully after a deadbeat father? I know 3 guys whose father left them immediately after they were born just like Barrys. None of them are named after their father. Not their first, middle or last name. Yet Barry is named “Barack Hussein Obama” just like his runaway deadbeat dad who only saw once in his entire life.

The first week into my first professional job, I sat in a ‘important’ meeting...well, the guy across the table was lying and I called him on it....He stood up and claimed I was a stupid rookie, I then stood up and declared him a liar, and knocked him out with one swing. It seems to me what he did was have his name legally changed to Barry Soetoro when his mother remarried, and then when he started college he changed it back to Barack Hussein Obama so he could pose as a foreign exchange student and then later on pose as an African to hide his white side from the black community when he began in politics. I know that's what happened because the papers would write he was born in Kenya. Where did they get that info? From him! He was promoting himself as an African.
Why would they write this? Why Kenya? Why not Nigeria or Sudan or Zimbabwe? Because HE told them he was born in Kenya! Who else would it be?

A week earlier, with full knowledge of what the Arpaio Posse’s findings would be, “constitutional scholar” Obama’s legal team suddenly started citing the Marguet-Pillado case in multiple PA and GA ballot eligibility state appeals. The following language is included by Obama’s lawyers in the PA and GA MTD filings: “President Obama was a United States citizen from the moment of his birth inHawaii. We don't know when Barack Sr. actually left, and it can take some time before both parties realize -- or admit -- a relationship is actually over.
According to one story, it was SADO, the mother, who left for Washington state while Barack Sr. stayed in Hawaii. Obama-Dunham family relations are that murky.
I guess we can assume with some likelihood that Obama Sr. only saw his son the once in their lives, but what he actually know is that Obama only saw his father once (that he could remember). That's also not 100% clear.
If there could have been some doubt the child was legitimate, though, naming him after the presumed father wouldn't have been an unusual or inexplicable move. It would also make Jr. exotic and not just another American negro or half-caste.

The truth probably is: they were never married at all!
As we know, Obama senior was already married.
So, he was a Kenyan in 2004, and a natural born citizen in 2007.
