Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Posters on Free Republic discussing the history and theology of Mormonism, even outright rejecting it as a religious ideology, is not violating freedom of religion. That IS freedom of religion. Geesh.

Freepers who reject Mittens are doing so because he’s a leftist - socially and economically. The Mormon excuse is pitiful. He is a man who used his power to promote socialized medicine, baby killing, gun control, and homosex social and legal dominance.

Before Mittens got the nomination, I did not see any conservative on here promoting any of that!

I think in reality.

California voting for a third party presidential candidate isn’t going to take away voting a Marxist into the White House.

California can’t even vote in a Reagan ‘democrat’ now.

Tamzee, God already knows who wins this race. Either the events that are to come will hasten the return of His Kingdom, or it will spare us a few more years to save souls.

Either way, God wins. I pray that all Christians understand this. We have a responsibility to act - but only in His will.

We have come to a point in this nation where we are forced to choose the lesser of two evils - or we can choose to abstain, or vote for a lesser candidate. I don’t think we should take our vote lightly nor out of fear. God’s will will be done.

Thank you for that intelligent, thoughtful post....especially this... As far as “Mormons”..... I have known all my life the results of being hated for my religion and like most others- I am what I am because I was born who I was born. I will not judge the religion of others I do not know, unless they use their religion as a weapon. I do not believe Mormons have done such.

So Jim, do you think the Mormons ought to reciprocate and quit supporting christian conservatives? Or should they keep supporting those who stab them in the back?

Vote for the good of America. It’s like doing something outside your comfort zone to save a loved ones life.

What a pitiful rant that is. Voting for evil is good for America?

Bowing to evil will NEVER be comfortable for those that do and that's for now and ETERNITY. So keep your manipulative tactics. They too will be burnt up one day!

I don’t much care about Romney being a Mormon. Mormons may not be my bag, but at least he isn’t a Muslim like Obama.

I was behind a truck in Orlando the other day and in HUGE letters on the tailgate he had written:

I'LL VOTE FOR THE MORMON OVER THE MORON

He is not powerless. The fact that he hasn't passed a budget is a big win for him and the Democrats,. they have Budgetized the stimulus spending. He has bypassed the

Congress by fiat.

He decided that illegals should get green cards so he proclaimed that hey should and now they will.

He decided that Church sponsored organizations should provide abortifaciants and contraception free of charge against their beliefs so he had his henchman at the HHS declare it so. It is now So!

He has used Eo’s, EPA regulations, HHS Regulations and the entire power of the alphabet Soup bureaucracy to get his way, and you believe that he has been check mated by a feckless Republican House! How/ What has he wanted to do that he hasn't done.

He even has a built in excuse for NOT doing what he doesn't want done, or for the failure of his policies; those knuckle dragging Republicans in Congress did it.

Serious question: Do you believe that God is undertaking some Machivelian roundabout course here that we should try to divine, or do you believe that it is a more rational idea to leave God to his business and follow his clearly written instruction manual? Because in my readings of the book, nowhere does it say we should do anything but follow his instructions. Empowering Sodomy/baby killing et all is 100% opposite of what the Bible instructs.

Vote as you like. And live with the consequences.

If Obama loses California he loses the election. At a minimum, it goes to the House.

So, it’s worth a shot.

We are going to be focusing most of our efforts on taking that shot.

My operations are all being moved to California over the next couple of days.

I intend to campaign hard in every nook and cranny of the state from now until election day.

“Your denials prove you DO post like a Romneybot.”

They certainly do not. And my insults to you are certainly well deserved, and dead on target! I do not like Romney, but I would vote for my neighbor’s dog before I’d vote for obama. But Romney is the Republican nominee. We need to retake the power in the Republican Party! And I clearly laid out my reasons why. You have some sort of a mental problem or block. Good night!

You know Tamzee, I was a little curious about you because I’ve been really active on Mormonism threads since 2004 and I didn’t recall seeing you post on them before a few days ago, so I checked your posting history and found a two year absence and that you’ve recently returned to FR. Have you been on a Mormon mission by any chance?

J/K (sort of)

Dumb@** comment. NO ONE leaves their faith tucked under the sheets when they leave the house - especially a BISHOP of a cult who made an oath to the hierarchy of Mormonism.

His evil is with him where ever he goes.

Serious question: Do you believe people can change? (Saul/Paul) or do you believe God can use people? (David)

If I vote for MR to get rid of zero, then is it possible that MR will do what he now says and NOT support abortion/homosexual marriage/etc. just as Paul changed from persecuting Christians? And could it be possible that MR would be our David (who committed murder and adultery) that God used for His glory?? I’m not saying that MR will allow it, but is it possible?? Then don’t go around pretending that anyone who votes for MR is empowering sodomy and baby killing. Because you don’t know WHAT God will do.

And if people can’t change or be used by God, then we are all in trouble.
