I'm a feisty little IRISH gal and patriotic to the core. I'm a D.A.R. Member as my great, great, great... grampa fought in the Revolutionary War as a member of the North Carolina militia (go Tarheels).

I love books and am a true bibliophile.

I am an evangelical Christian and I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but I am not pushy about it. I believe in sharing the "good news" and that the person will accept it as just that, "good news."

I believe in the words of the Apostle's Creed: I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

From the Bible itself comes one of my greatest concerns for this country :
"When the foundations crumble, what will the righteous do?" I fear that our foundations in this country are crumbling. It is my prayer that our FR community will help to be a light in this regard.

One of my favorite sayings is from Rabbi Hillel, which says, "If I am not for myself, then who will be for me, but if I am only for myself, then what am I?"

Also: Note to the anti-Trinitarian folks on here - please stay far, far away from ME. (Just thinking: If these people were so proud of their beliefs, you'd think they'd be up front about it and not try to hide it... hmmm.)
