But it makes her sound so airheaded!

"Kim Candy," it's demeaning, in a way that will really, really piss off the feminists.

This is therefore an excruciating moment for the postmodern, postcolonial left. They may actually have come across an enemy that even they cannot argue is morally superior to the West.

I'll go a step further.

The Taliban and their ilk are the Nazis of our day.

They have whipped up a furor among a desperate people and made us their Satan.

They must be eliminated, exterminated like human vermin.

It's simple: Us or Them.

What to do if you happen upon a peace rally by stupid naive hemp-shirt-wearing college idiots, to teach them why force is sometimes needed:

1) Approach dumb rich ignorant student talking about "peace" and saying there should be "no retaliation."

2) Engage in brief conversation, ask if military force is appropriate.

3) When he says "No," ask, "Why not?"

4) Wait until he says something to the effect of, "Because that would just cause more innocent deaths, which would be awful and we should not cause more violence."

5) When he's in mid sentence, punch him in the face as hard as you can.

6) When he gets back up to up to punch you, point out that it would be a mistake and contrary to his values to strike you because that would, "be awful and he should not cause more violence."

7) Wait until he agrees that he has pledged not to commit additional violence.

8) Punch him in the face again, harder this time.

Repeat steps 5 through 8 until they understand that sometimes it is necessary to punch back.

Sullivan is on a roll! I love the knocks he is giving the wacked out world of postmodernism. His article last week, posted here, was awesome too!

The Left is collectively putting the Taliban into the Far Right box. Now they understand why this happened. It's a right wing fiasco. The Left solution, of course, is marxism, which doesn't allow fundamentalist religion. If only we'd allowed the USSR to win. It's all Reagan's fault.

If dark-skinned peoples are inherently better than light-skinned peoples, then how does a dark-skinned culture come up with an ideology that is clearly a function of bigotry, misogyny and homophobia?

There were not 20,000 "peace" protesters in DC last Saturday. I was there and the impartial estimates were 5,000 to 6,000. As usual, the leftists like to inflate their numbers and revise history.
