Well, his name is Sam Chores, lol.
To: SAMWolf
Hi Sam, I'm having a very good day. How about you, enjoying your chores? Hahahaha.
To: PhilDragoo
Thanks Phil. Enjoyed the added information. I don't believe Hamilton didn't fire intentionally. Like you said, poor aim. :)
Never liked Mitchum. Ugh.
To: SAMWolf
*...proved Robert Mitchum couldn't sing.*
Something about him I never liked. I didn't like to watch him, I can't imagine listening to him sing.
To: snippy_about_it

hahahaha! Yeah, I fell for it for awhile. Now we know it was all about tanks.
Tanks Sam. :)

He gives me the creeps. I don't know why. Maybe the first time I saw him it was a really bad movie or something but I absolutely can't bear to look at him. Go figure. *shrug*
To: snippy_about_it
Yeah he's played some real good "bad guy" roles. I like him

Probably a "man's man" kind of thing.
As far as the classics my choices would be more toward Gregory Peck, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, and Gary Cooper. I do love Yul Brenner in the King and I. Oh, and Alan Ladd.
Now, these of course are probably more appealing to the ladies, so naturally we might differ in our opinion of them.
:)
To: snippy_about_it
Gregory Peck, Gary Cooper, Burt Lancaster were good.
Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart wwere good for their style of movie.

I dont know? Maybe its late and my eyes are tired. But That portrait of George Washington resembles Bush II. Look at the eyes forehead and chin. Reminds me of W
And to top it off We call him W First names the same. Hmmm.
What do you think.

This is the first account Ive read outside of Western Pennsylvania that mentions that the tax was unpayable by the farmers. The tax had to be paid in specie, and there was little to be had west of the mountains.
What was left out of this account was the ulterior motive of President Washington.
Prior to our revolution, Mr. Washington had his friend Colonel Crawford make blaze claims in his (Washingtons) name throughout the Ohio Valley. The Colonel was on a government paid survey expedition in the area.
After the revolution Washington and Congress reneged on their promise to the veterans (the start of a long tradition) and refused to grant them the land promised in lieu of pay. Many veterans crossed the mountains and staked out their own farm claims.
Mr. Washington demanded rent payments, and he had sold some of "his" land to developers.
The payments were of course not forthcoming, and the whisky tax was thought to be the solution to Mr. Washingtons problem. If the tax wasnt paid, the land would be confiscated and the squatters driven off.
It didnt work.
