SFQC. They guarantee a beret/full flash to anyone who makes it through selection process. We had to pass either the NCO or SFOC part. The map reading course was tough even for INF OCS types

That’s insane!!!! No way would I want to be on a ODA, especially on a direct action mission. The accomplishment of the mission requires every team member to put out 120% without even thinking about it, more if you lose one or more team members.
Secondly, many of their host country missions will suffer since they would hesitate to listed to a female.

Agree. No one wants a slacker in SF much less on any combat OP. I recall when I went through the SFOC in 67 that we still focused on UW plus CI. We were more force multipliers.

I’m female and this kinda cr@p really torques me off.
Note to some fellie females: So you lost at the genetic lottery and can’t meet the same standards as these men. Too. Damn. Bad. The mission, the personnel, your country are infinitely more important than your bloody self-esteem issues.
Suck it up and find another way to serve.

it seems to me the only females that would want to be in the SAS, SEALs, Special Forces are more interested in being men than women...
be what you’re good at

Do not lower standards. Demand the best and get the best. Also, if foaming at the mouth rabid Liberals need women in special forces, then just reliable the men and call the unisex or something.

FWIW, I have absolutely no problem with women serving as long as said women can meet the same standards as are set for the men. The desire to serve and protect, to fight, to win, to excell isn’t exclusive to xy chromosomes :-)

Yep.
I’m disappointed. They are the more powerful gender, as they can create human life. You’d think that would add a color to the debate that would change governance for the better.
Who knew they’d lobby for the right to kill their own children under the Constitution as their first act. The very source of their power, and they fritter it away. Moreover, its the first time the right to kill another human being was ever interpreted from a founding document.
It’s a head-shaker.
