My name is Theodore P. Savas, managing director of Savas Beatie LLC. We are the publisher of Nick Popaditch's fine new book Once a Marine: An Iraq War Tank Commander's Inspirational Memoir of Combat, Courage, and Recovery (October 1, 2008). An AP photo put Nick on the front pages of newspapers around the world as “The Cigar Marine.” Nick was critically wounded in Fallujah one year later by an RPG to the head.
