CBO does not draft or propose legislation. We need a better, and more reliable source - I’ve seen this on several emails and am dubious.
It could be true, but is it really?
Check the second source link.

Mark to read later—thanks for posting this, SandRat!
I guess, in a way, if you look at, we have a black present_dent making a liar out of President Lincoln who said;
“To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan, President Lincoln affirmed the governments obligation to care for those injured during the war and to provide for the families of those who perished on the battlefield.
Today, a pair of metal plaques bearing those words flank the entrance to the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). VA is the federal agency responsible for serving the needs of veterans by providing health care, disability compensation and rehabilitation, education assistance, home loans, burial in a national cemetery, and other benefits and services.
Lincolns immortal words became the VA motto in 1959.
Hum, sort of ironic isn’t it?
Won’t load for me. But, even if it did, doesn’t mean anything. CBO provides a budget research service for the Congress. In order for anything they produce to be moved forward, it has to be taken up by a committee and turned into legislation. I haven’t been able to find any legislation related to this. Can’t have a bill until a committee reports one out.
Odd that it wouldn’t load for you. When I cut it into the URL address bar it loaded right up.
Obomas private, civilian army got half a trillion dollars. Reeks of Stalinism. doesn't it?
Just copyied this into the URL address bar & it came right up.
When were the committee hearings and floor debates on this 500,000,000 million dollar expenditure?
My son has received some emails about this and hasn’t been able to get a clear answer from people who should know.
If he gets any info I’ll let you know.
Clicking on your link brought up a blank CBO page so I typed Tricare For Life into their search bar. The proposed legislation you posted about does not come up, but several actual pieces of legislation do with CBO’s cost estimates. I think the proposal you are concerned with is very old and never amounted to anything. I am much more concerned about what Obamascare will do to TriCare than any CBO ideas.
And Lincoln freed the slaves. Oboma is personally creating and enslaving them.
And he is reneging on Lincolns pledge...
