I’ll take “goldbuggery” over Fed fiat money buggery any day.
RP is simply speaking the truth about our monetary system. Anyone with an understanding of basic free market monetary policy (and one who is not on thorazine) can see that our fiat money system is a disaster.

For what it's worth, Ron Paul -- this libertarian great -- has some rather odd theories about the Fed, inflation, and gold-backed money in his recent book Revolution (in chapter 6). At 20 pages, it's too brief to convince -- but fascinating and worth reading!

What you call goldbuggery makes sense to me. I would rather have that than the buggery we get from the Federal Reserve System. We should abolish the Federal Reserve System and return to the gold standard.
