" I don't think that any of us Amills have pronounced all the dispys to be reprobate."

Following delusion does not make one 'reprobate' but merely deluded. - You can rest assured that I do not declare any here reprobate.

Thanks for the tip.

I usually do that when I know in advance that I have a difficult post, but sometimes I forget to do this. (I like to live on the edge, I guess. [I already know that I need a new hard-drive.])

Of course statistics alone never tell the FULL story. The quality of the evidence has to be weighed as well. Having, for instance, an entire chapter that details a resurrection, a thousand-year reign, then another resurrection, is very telling. But one would have to give heavy weight even to one verse that said,
"Somehow God is still faithful and true, yet He is backing off of His centuries of ironclad and emphatic promises and assurances to the nation of Israel, plus He is changing all the terms of His covenant so that only curses and no blessings apply, and finally He is also instituting a different standard of interpretation by which only his predictive words in the Old Testament are to be spiritualized and allegorized at will, while all other passage are still to be interpreted by normal canons of communication."
As I say, even one verse like that would have to be given heavy weight.

There are EXPLICIT verses ASSERTING that God is one, in so many words. There are EXPLICIT verses ASSERTING that Christ is God, in so many words. There are EXPLICIT verses ASSERTING that the Father is God, in so many words. There are EXPLICIT verses ASSERTING that the Holy Spirit is God, in so many words.

There is NOT ONE verse declaring all OT prophecy null and void, nor instituting a new canon of interpretation. There is NOT ONE verse asserting that the church is New Israel, Spiritual Israel, Industrial Strength Israel, or any kind of Israel.

Let the Bible lead you, you'll never be an amillennialist of any sort.

"There is NO specific verse teaching the Trinity..."

Would you buy two verses?

Only the most powerful passage in the NT!

I John 5:7-8
"5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."

Is that the total Kingdom? In it's entirety? Full-blown, complete, nothing lacking? ~ nobdysfool

I think you're talking Jesus' words to an extreme here, trying to have Him make an all-inclusive pronouncement when what He was doing was pointing out that by casting out devils, He was bringing the benefit of the Kingdom of God, in His person and authority, to those who experienced and witnessed the event. ~ nobdysfool

I have ALWAYS believed that the mark could be very literal or could not be. I have always believed that I have been told about it by God so that I or others will be informed about what to do and what not to do.

Dan, do you find it as odd as I do that in Rev 20 "deceive the nations" is interpreted extremely literally, but that everything around it is all allegorical?

Where do you get the secret decoder ring that tells which passages of the Word to believe, and which to discard?

Rn, 1 Jn 5:7-8 needs to be in your repertoire for trinitarian discussions with mormons.

This is in the KJV, but not others. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

I'm sure the answer of the textual critics will be that this is text was too good to be true. Nonetheless, the TR went with it.

in so many words

2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2Pe 3:11 [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,

2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Oh no, that's just sound "Reformed" hermeneutics!

Like how the SAME EXACT PROPHECY in the OT can be totally literal and for-Israel (the cursing part) and totally "spiritual" and for-the-Christian-Church (the blessing part) at the same time!

Be my guest, Woody. Take the implant and teach others to do the same.

It will make you a member of the ant colony. Simply another animal for the counting.

Throughout an entire region, it could be used to control access.
