Following delusion does not make one 'reprobate' but merely deluded. - You can rest assured that I do not declare any here reprobate.
"Somehow God is still faithful and true, yet He is backing off of His centuries of ironclad and emphatic promises and assurances to the nation of Israel, plus He is changing all the terms of His covenant so that only curses and no blessings apply, and finally He is also instituting a different standard of interpretation by which only his predictive words in the Old Testament are to be spiritualized and allegorized at will, while all other passage are still to be interpreted by normal canons of communication."As I say, even one verse like that would have to be given heavy weight.
Dan
Ever run into "Mindspring?" - Same ideas, better packaging, very successful marketing.
There is NOT ONE verse declaring all OT prophecy null and void, nor instituting a new canon of interpretation. There is NOT ONE verse asserting that the church is New Israel, Spiritual Israel, Industrial Strength Israel, or any kind of Israel.
Let the Bible lead you, you'll never be an amillennialist of any sort.
Dan
Would you buy two verses?
Only the most powerful passage in the NT!
I John 5:7-8
"5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."
Is that the total Kingdom? In it's entirety? Full-blown, complete, nothing lacking? ~ nobdysfool
In a word: NO! When the Lord returns at the end of this age, He is going to have all things that offend cast into the furnace of fire. Then the righteous will inherit the kingdom of our Father that was prepared for us from the foundation of the world.
Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
And in a word: YES! Right now, I have eternal life. I shall never die. The second death has no power over me.
Jesus said..., "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"
I live and reign with Christ right now:
even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
I think you're talking Jesus' words to an extreme here, trying to have Him make an all-inclusive pronouncement when what He was doing was pointing out that by casting out devils, He was bringing the benefit of the Kingdom of God, in His person and authority, to those who experienced and witnessed the event. ~ nobdysfool
Ahem! What does the text literally say?
Mat 12:28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Does the verse literally say that if you see this sign then the kingdom of God is come unto us?
Does the verse literally say that if the Lord casts out devils he must first bind the strong man Satan?

A New Jersey surgeon has embedded under his skin tiny computer chips that can automatically transmit personal information to a scanner, a technology that his employer hopes will someday be widely used as a way to identify people.
In the meantime, Rn, I wouldn't be taking any ID Chip implants.
This is in the KJV, but not others. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
I'm sure the answer of the textual critics will be that this is text was too good to be true. Nonetheless, the TR went with it.
2Pe 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11 [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness,
2Pe 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
