This flap will be 'in the noise' by wednesday. It will flare up slightly when he returns and then die for good in December.
Oh, the haters will attempt to make hay with it on occasion but to no avail.

I'm all for giving someone the benefit of the doubt, but so far the National Enquirer's been right. Do you think he was getting these painkillers legally?

I feel Rush's pain.
I also believe he has handed the Left their biggest coo since richard Nixon.
It's not the pain killer addiction. It's the out of control/non stop moralizing while actually being a junkie.
I'm through with him.

Who's George Sowell? A guy I knew in high school.
Just kidding. I meant Thomas Sowell, of course. Thanks for catching my error; my inability to express myself knows no bound.

Those against the war on drugs have a great opportunity right now to really step in and try to persuasively and effectively make their point. Instead, it looks like they are going to blow it by taking only a hostile and accusatory tone...and by saying, almost ironically, send Rush to the slammer! A wasted opportunity, folks.

He has always said he is working with half his brain tied behind his back. I guess that turned out to be true. I happen to admire Rush and cannot wait to see what he has to say when he's thinking with his whole brain.Same here. He's a great comentator. He's right on about the left.
This doesn't bother me at all as far as a listener to his program. Petty stuff doesn't bother me.
I do feel sorry for him. He's got some heavy duty stuff to deal with in his life. I wish him well.
Sticks and stones could break his bones, but idiots taking their own problems out on him will never hurt him.

"What would all these people do if Rush turned out to be a pedophile?"
The problem with Rush is that he has a spine that was damaged. Posts like this prove some people don't have one.
To: AEMILIUS PAULUS
Further, by his addiction to vice he has damaged conservatism immeasureably. Only the weak minded would have their bedrock priciples shaken by confirmation that their hero has feet of clay.

I personally don't know anyone who ever thought Rush was "more than human."Don't read here much, do you?

Well, I would say that Limbaugh ain't a Buckley, but he's a damn sight better than a B-Chan. Thats true in one sense: hes much better at making money than I am.
Thanks for the ad hominem, Amish Dude. As always, I stand in awe of your coal-fired, cast-iron computer.

Conservatism is not a man. Conservatism is alive and growing. And true conservatives are the type to rally TO someone in need, not from.

Popular radio show host Rush Limbaugh revealed today that he is addicted to prescription painkillers and is entering a rehabilitation program for substance abusers.
THIS IS FROM THE ORIGINAL THREAD
Popular radio show host Rush Limbaugh revealed today that he is addicted to illegally-obtained prescription painkillers and is entering a rehabilitation program for substance abusers.
THIS IS WHATS POSTED ABOVE!
Changing the original thread and his own words DONT MAKE IT SO !

Who's George Sowell? A combination of George Orwell and Thomas Sowell?
To: B-Chan
Limbaughs listeners were good people, mind you, but not the deepest thinkers in the world.
The Annenberg Study a few years ago showed that talk radio listeners actually are the deepest thinkers in the world. See:

And, may the individual be empowered to discern the message, without passing judgement on the messenger.

"The problem is that people have a natural tendency to make their heroes into larger than life Supermen."
Ya...tell that to the blind followers of the Clintons. How many times have they been let down by Bubba and his sexual activities, only to find another story around the corner? Rush is doing something about his addiction unlike Bubba and to top that off, he is fully supported by the NOW organization. Go figure!!!!!!
