Ya forgot the sarcasm tag... nothing has been too over-the-top lately, unfortunately.
Almost over and then Bye-Bye Gray Rat!

Thank you, FairO! That map is so cool. So glad is was just a mini quake and not terrorism. Our post office was shut down at 8:30 this morning for a 'fire drill' with all employees and customers waiting outside. Hmmmm....had me wondrin'. Went to another one a few miles away, and the postal person said post offices are major targets, but they haven't received any 'high alert' warnings for today.

Almost forgot! I found another one that I thought you would find interesting...
Afghan girls pass a billboard of Arnold Schwarzenegger in an advertisment for a bodybuilding club in Kabul, Afghanistan (news - web sites), on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003. The U.S. Republican appears to be the frontrunner in California gubernatorial race polls released Wednesday. The former bodybuilder and movie star is a popular hero in Afghanistan. You're bad.
I wish I lived in California, so I could help them, too!
No, on second thought, Arizona is close enough for my tastes!

If Bustamonte wins then we're doomed. He is worse than Davis. If you want the illegals to take over more than they have, athen Bustamante's your man. Vote Arnold!
To: Sabertooth
He's tanking in Tennessee and Arkansas. Oh right! Like he's gonna lose his home state! Even McGovern avoided that one.

I can only say that, as much as I've followed this process, in a discussion just this morning my colleagues and I didn't know how this would appear on a ballot.
To: JFC
No idea yet, but the last polls looked pretty good. We don't know how many illegals will vote and how many busloads of union workers will vote. Then, of course, will be the court challenges. They are ready to be filed.

I wonder if a lot of voters might bypass that, thus lowering the "yes" total. I would expect it would also reduce the "No" total -- which brings up a point. If neither Yes or No is selected, is the ballot void? Or does it count? If it counts, how so (other than candidate name)?

"You, at least, will have a clear conscience, and let's hope enough people voted as you do to make sure Arnold will get the plurality..."
Nice thought but it does not work. I wimped out and voted Arnie just because I couldn't stand the idea of a toss-up.
Once done, I'm no more satisfied and certainly not 'clear of conscience' ... don't like feeling compromised and especially not by choice.

LOL! Your husband wounds like a gem.
As to your #537 - I agree, minimally there should be a large space between the recall question itself and the candidates.
To this day I believe the original intent of the Democratic Antics and Liberal Lunacy positioning of names on the FL ballot was supposed to cause confusion between Bush and Buchannan. However, once printed, the names were no longer together.
