FNC did report it. I didn't hear closely enough to hear WHERE it's going to air, however.

Miami Herald:
Authorities confirm Limbaugh drug investigation
Authorities in Palm Beach County are investigating a former housekeeper's claim that radio talk personality Rush Limbaugh purchased thousands of highly addictive painkillers through the black market, law enforcement sources confirmed.
The story broke in this week's National Enquirer.
Limbaugh's former housekeeper, Wilma Cline, told authorities and the tabloid that she supplied OxyContin and Hydrocodone to Limbaugh for four years, sometimes participating in exchanges in a Denny's parking lot. Cline said she was outfitted with a surveillance wire before two of the encounters.
Sources said the investigation is connected to a bust that closed a Lake Worth pharmacy in May. World Health Association is accused of illegally supplying customers more than 450,000 Hydrocode tablets, a potent and addictive drug similar to OxyContin.
Cline's attorney, Edward Shohat, issued a prepared a statement Thursday: ``Mr. Shohat is not discussing the Limbaugh case beyond the statement that his clients stand behind their story. Neither Mr. Shohat nor his clients are giving any interviews at this time.''
It's Limbaugh's second major controversy this week. Wednesday he resigned from ESPN amid an uproar over comments he made about Donovan McNabb, quarterback for Philadelphia Eagles. Limbaugh stated that McNabb was overrated because the media wanted to see a black quarterback succeed in the NFL. Limbaugh, a football devotee, author and icon of the political right, had joined ESPN's NFL Sunday Countdown just this fall.
Premier Radio Networks, which syndicates the Rush Limbaugh Show, syndicated in more than 650 markets, issued a statement from Limbaugh early Thursday saying: ``I am unaware of any investigation by any authority involving me. No government representative has contacted me directly or indirectly. If my assistance is required, I will, of course, cooperate fully.''

I haven't seen info on this, and it's not up on his website, but I'm guessing this will be on his regular radio stations?

Today's DNC talking points.
President Bush is a liar.
He is also endanger CIA operatives lives just for revenge.
Rush Limbaugh is a racist.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is a "serial groper".
Ovaltine is the drink of the devil.
Funny thing is, is that there are conservatives regurgitating this mantra.

Well, as he's said before, when something like a scandal breaks, get in front of the camera as soon as you can, put out all the facts, answer all the questions, do a mea culpa, and move on. Sounds like he's taking his own advice.

Shepard Smith keeps trying to stir the pot and start NEW RUMORS himself!
Ridiculous!
Shep speculated that Rush resigned from ESPN because of drug problems and speculated that Limbaugh's statement only said he was unaware of an investigation.

The bullsh*t War on Drugs needs more victims/posterboys to keep the Lie going.
Personally, I hope Rush feels the full force of this institutionalized injustice.
It may propel his consciousness. ;^)

Interesting. If he wanted to address his "fans", I would think the better idea would be to make his case on Friday during his show.
However, if he wants to draw attention from people other than those who listen, an evening presentation would accomplish that. That would lead me to believe he's got a solid rebuttal to the allegations flying around. Whether it's a denial or not remains to be seen. But I would be pleased if he came out swinging, truthfully denying all of the garbage. If he's "innocent" (quotes indicating that I realize that is not the correct term), he can make a whole lot of people look like fools.
