Yeah, that quasi-hairlip he's sporting is attractive...

Pardon me, but your McClintock is more of the drug legalization type. Doesn't surprise me that you're a drug warrior. Lock 'em up for life if they get caught with a joint, right?

I agree with your disagreeing with him on all those issues save one (I don't oppose gays adopting, so long as we all understand that otherwise similar hetero married couples get first dibs ... but that is a whole other discussion).
But if McClintock is still behind and I have a chance of stopping Gov. Cruz, I'm with Thomas Sowell in voting for the next best thing to McClintock -- even if AS is pretty far from McClintock. Cruz will continue the trend of driving out thousands and thousands of Republican votes -- Republican votes that WILL NOT COME BACK with the passing of a few years.

Lungren-TRUE conservative Fong-TRUE conservative Campbell-TRUE conservative Simon-TRUE conservative
Lungren was the co-author of the 1986 Amnesty for Illegal Aliens. Fong and Campbell are moderates. Simon, if he was a conservative, never campaigned as one. In fact, none of them did; they all campaigned as if they were ashamed to be Republicans. Furthermore, none of them addressed Illegal Aliens, though it's a winning issue here. In fact, none of them had any sense of grass rosts conservopopulism in California at all. They rand timid, cowardly campaigns, with the primary goal being that they hoped that the Left wouldn't dsay mean things about them. Now you know.

I wish he would grow his hair longer. He'd be a good candidate for a crazed hermit role.

I'm hardly a purist - and since I'm military temporarily living in CA, I'm not a voter - but just what does Arnold stand for that would give me a reason to vote FOR him? Taxes? Sorry, but I fully expect a Gov Arnold will find reasons to RAISE taxes. Illegal immigration? Gov Arnold wouldn't do squat!
If we are doomed to having a Democrat as Gov - and both Arnold and his evil twin SOUND a lot like democrats - at least lets have the democrats take the blame!
I would love to vote for a winning republican in CA - I pay property taxes, car taxes, sales taxes, and my wife pays income taxes - but what is the point if the 'republican' has NO republican beliefs?

Okay. Shoot up later. Not now. We're dicussing something. Do me a favor. Shoot up on election day so you can't get to the polls.

I'd probably punch you in the face if we met in person. Oh yes... a RINOld supporter's idea of "civil discourse"...

Pardon me, but your McClintock is more of the drug legalization type. It might explain those crossed eyes. If I'm on crack, it's thanks to him and you. Nice distortion.
He's said he would uphold California's medical marijuana proposition based on state's rights grounds. If you can find any support by him for any other "drug legalization" proposals, please feel free to post the speciics.

So the only good Republican was Ronald Reagan. Eisenhower was a RINO. Nixon was a RINO. Ford was a RINO. Bush Sr. was a RINO. I dare not ask what you think of this President. I'd probably punch you in the face if we met in person.
First, your post's been reported to Admin for abuse. Telling us all what you'd do, violence-wise, if you were to meet someone IRL is verboten here, if memory serves.
Second, I suggest you re-read my post in context: I was challenging someone more on the conservative (even for FR) side of things, FROM THE LEFT, and admitting that "even" I consider Wilson (whom I admire in most ways nevertheless) to have been a liberal Republican.

Guess it shows that Arnold supporters would rather have Cruz than Tom. That was the case since the beginning.
That is outright false.
The majority of Schwarzenegger supporters, especially at the beginning, expressed respect, and some even admiration, for McClintock. On the other hand some TM supporters have said flat out that they would rather have Bustamante than Schwarzenegger.
I think the correct analysis of these numbers showing head to head match ups show that the only winners possible (if the recall passes) are Bustamante or Schwarzenegger. The numbers show a head to head with McClintock/Bustamante would result in a win for Bustamante similar in margin to Davis over Simon.

I like the way you always throw around the RINO term. Who on Earth said you are not a RINO. You are a RINO.
Do me a favor. Go get your little books on how to be a true conservative. Go wrap your animal skins around yourself and leave your cave. Then go to the little hovel where Hermit McClintock has lived without leaving ever since we was 12.
Then discuss how to be a true conservative over fire, if you know how to light one.
To: meg70
don't mail that absentee ballot yet!
To: republicanwizard
>>>If McClintock wanted to be fair, he would run as an independent.Tom McClintock has been an elected member of the Cal GOP for many years. He is both a social and fiscal conservative.
OTOH, Arnold is a liberal RINO. Arnold would make a better Democrat or independent, then then the Republican he professes to be.
To: republicanwizard
You have become hysterical.

I guess Shelby Steele, George Will, Thomas Sowell, and Walter Williams are all "right-wing crazies" in Ahnold's eyes...I thought Sowell is supporting Schwarzenegger.
Apparently he can disagree with him on some issues, yet see the big picture.

The cowards on this board, yes I said cowards, who know that McClintock is the best candidate but say that they will vote for Arnold are the same bunch that turned and ran at Valley Forge.
How'd you find out that was me? Are you an immortal Highlander like me too? I shall find you and steal your energy, for THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE.
Nice analogy. Unless you were trying to be logically consistent, convincing, or both.
