And what about the tidbit that said that the victim, himself, pulled a pin that set off the timer that detonated the bomb?

Hel-LO!? Whose house was it? Do not know, all that was mentioned was that the FBI searched a house pertaining to this case and I saw it on local TV.
Do you think your guys at ABC(A being for Australian) would do any better.
BTW, what time is it there? Close to noon of (9/6/03) in Australia?

Did his head blow off? No, according to the autopsy reports. The bomb put a big gash in his chest.

Can we start administring a quiz to people before then come in here? Can you make it multiple choice? And please, no essay questions and don't get tricky and try to hide some math in it.

What is weird is that the "victim" claimed that the evil mastermind locked it with a key, and the lock is clearly a simple combination lock.

Let me get this straight. The key started the clock, but the lock was a combination lock?

"What is weird is that the "victim" claimed that the evil mastermind locked it with a key, and the lock is clearly a simple combination lock." I believe the victim stated that the key started the mechanical timing device, like the old style of timeclocks used to record hours worked, and were set using a key that would set the timeclock in motion after removing it.
Same as a commercial sprinkler system.

Possible scenario:
Mr. Wells needed money for his poor mother. He thinks up a way (maybe with the help of a friend) to try and pull off a creative robbery which, if successful, will land him a handy sum of money. If not successful, it will appear to have been a coerced robbery in which case insurance money will be paid to his mother. I'm sure all of this is being investigated, regardless. 10-4, over and out.
