Trivia question:
Which movies did his character NOT survive?
To: hemogoblin
I never would have guessed him to be that old--or to have married Jill Ireland in 1958 (more like 1968)....

I loved him in Once Upon a Time in the West. I loved him in Death Wish. He will be missed.
Gotta love this though, his sense of humor:
"Bronson told Reuters' Robert Basler in a 1985 interview that he knew what entertained him in a film, and it was not Charles Bronson.
"I am not a fan of myself."
In that interview, Bronson was promoting "Death Wish 3," a film he said was "nearly the same as the two Death Wishes that came before."

God bless Charles Bronson. I loved his movies and his tough guy persona. There's no one out there today in hollywood that matches him (what a bunch of pygmies). He would literally and figuratively mop up the floor with any of them. He had a real 'edge" about him that was the result of hard times and early poverty. This made him seem more real than other actors in general, and made him seem menacing at times. He was a real man who didnt get in your face with touchy-feely liberalism like these hollywood creeps do today.

Sad news indeed!I guess we're stuck with movies where the lack of acting talent is covered up with special effects.

Rest in Peace, Charles Bronson. A classic, irreplaceable actor and wonderful human being has gone on to eternal peace. I read a newspaper obituary of him about 30 minutes ago, it said he was a gentle man underneath his tough guy exterior; and it also said that all his next of kin (son, daughters, in-laws, grandchildren) live in Los Angeles.
He was lucky to have all his next of kin live nearby; in present day America it is a rarity to have all close kin nearby, as we are a very mobile society.

Bummer I really liked watching him. What was that one where he was a holdout in the old west and He dig out the inside of his log cabin? And fought everyone off. Cant remember it that well.

I know you're not around FR anymore. I also know that you worked with Bronson in Death Wish 4.
Expressing my condolences in case somebody knows how to get in touch with you.
