Some people never learn...
Look what Fox/O'Reilly did with all of their protests? They made Franken's book a bestseller.
The free publicity for The Passion will likewise lead to big buckos for Gibson.

Oh, good grief. This is getting absurd. I'll say. And repetitively stupid.
Mel will be laughing all the way to the bank with the publicity. But if these jerks really do try to mess with the distribution, I hope Mel sues the pants off these groups.

Must be good! Got to see it. I am with you on that! I think the big fear is that that some will see the movie, and then start thinking about those scriptures in the Torah (Isaiah and Zechariah being some of my favorites) that talk of a suffering Messiah.
As far a guilt for His death, It's me! I am the guilty one! He did it in my place. It was in the heart of God from the beginning. God told Abraham, I will bless the whole earth thru you. And God has kept His promise. I am blessed thru the seed of Abraham. His faith to God has resulted in good for me. And when some one does me God, I will honor him, and his children. There for I love all my Jewish friends (even the ones I do not know), and I love Israel deeply. I have seen a small clip of the movie. It has made me love them even more.

"sought to hinder it's distribution" I knew that was coming. If these groups push too hard they might get a big backlash.Enough already!

Roger Friedman, of Foxnews.com's entertainment section, said something weird about it, saying no major studio would be able to release a movie "that potrays Jews as the killers of Jesus". Yeah, he and everyone else who's protesting has seen the movie, right? No attention payed to the opinions of those who've seen the movie and loved it. I don't know, maybe he's mad because in an earlier article he mentioned, in a slightly insulted manner, that he hadn't been invited to a screening of the movie.

Time magazine ran not one, but two hit pieces on the film in their latest issue. Like all these clowns reading from the same talking points, they somehow managed to mention Gibson's father in their "reviews" (of a movie they haven't seen).

They want us to change the locale of the crucifixion to China or Tibet?Jesus was a Jew as were all his family, his disciples and his followers at the time of his death and resurrection.

A rabbi from Brooklyn called the film pornography. I'm at a loss for words.

Yes, Virginia, even Jews can be kooks.
While there is plenty of historical and cultural precendent to support the concerns expressed by these people (if you've ever been on the receiving end of righteous Christian indignation, you've had a taste of it), what they're doing is ultimately pointless, except in one regard.
If what they predict does, in fact, come to pass, then they can say "I told you so".
Even small comfort is some comfort.

depiction of Jesus' final 12 hours will endanger Jews around the world. How long have the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John been in print? These four books are known as gospel, meaning "good news"? Are the gospels endangering the Jews?
Judaism maintains its original position of not recognizing Jesus as the Messiah. Most Christians find that position tolerable. A group who takes deliberate actions to stifle depictions of the gospels does cause me to ponder what their agenda may be.

Leaders, my ass. They don't represent Jews. Dov Hikind does. He's an elected official representing a predominantly-Jewish (Orthodox-Hasidic) section of Brooklyn

Keep in mind that Dov Hikind represents more Democrats than Jews.

This movie will result in more Muslims converting to Christ than all the missionaries in history. Every Muslim who turns their back on Islam is good for Jews and Christians alike. There will be no violence against Jews. There is nothing new here.

If what they predict does, in fact, come to pass, then they can say "I told you so".I suspect that their actions are much more likely than the movie to increase anti-semitism.
