As I hope I have pointed out on other threads many people have experienced and grown from the types of abuse some of these priests have committed.Most teen agers, especially girls that haven't had someone "cop a feel" must have been extremely well protected or have other problems which I am not going to go into.Let's get real,it is not a lifetime sentence,even though it is far worse when a priest takes advantage of anyone.

Many people are getting way over dramatic about some of this. It is important for the bishops to release factual information with respect to the types of abuse,the sexual proclivity of the abusers and the numbers. People pushing for the acceptance of homosexual behavior want to keep everything muddy ONLY to get people off on a million other tracks so they won't notice what's pulling into the station.

Do not,under any circumstances,take this to mean that I am denying certain abuses are unconscionable,crimianl and deserving of severe penalties both as crimes and sins. I am just saying that there are degrees and there are numbers of occurances and they should be scrutinized. When you see a bishop who is squirelly about releasing information you have a bishop who is gay or being blackmailed. Mahoney,Pilarchzyk,Pilla and about 22 more ought to be ashamed of themselves and their dioceses should be demanding they release information or step down. But most won't because they like the agenda.

They would be riding around the country on a cattle car,naked for all to see and ridicule and chastize if I had my way.

Well I would say this is a total exception that that of the rule> I am not saying that this never has happened as you are a testament that it has.

But I will say that you would be mis-informing people if you think that young Homosexual couples last into there golden years, very rare.

Many Baby Boomers that have parents that are getting up in age realize if we love our mothers and fathers we will do whatever we can to take care of them when they no longer can. Who do aging homosexuals have other than sorry nursing homes.

The purpose of imprisonment, and even of execution, is to protect society and to bring the criminal to repentance. No one has the right to hope that ANYONE will go to hell. The purpose of execution is NOT to "send the criminal to hell." Anyone who hopes to see murders and rapes committed in prison, or who hopes that executed criminals go to hell, is full of hate, and is thereby guilty of murder, including the murder of his own soul.

I could wish that Geoghan could have been sentenced to life in prison. I could wish that he could have been executed by lawful authority. But it is criminal to hope that ANYONE actually ends up in hell.

But I refuse to sit quietly by and allow bigots to use one brush to paint all homosexuals as predatory pedophiles anymore than I will tolerate the same thing against the Catholic Church.
