It may be that ol' Enoch is all alone in this one.
Indeed, I haven't found anything to pre-date his remark about the death of stars by their becoming lightening. But we haven't heard from RadioAstronomer yet. I think your links will help a lot in my next project which will be the last curious observation I had in reading the 1 Enoch book of astronomy:
There is a reference to the end of all that there is (and beginning) which sounds like a singularity: in chapter 18 a place with no measure and no content, a pit "where the heavens come together." He records that the angel explained [v. 14] "this is the ultimate end of heaven and earth; it is the prison house for the stars and the powers of heaven…"

I remember you used to post some very great threads and articles for YEC. What is going on?
Actually, my position is not YEC per se since I believe that both statements are true - that the universe is 15 billion years old from our space/time coordinates and also 6/7 days old from God's inception space/time coordinates plus 6000 years of Adamic man. (Inflationary Theory and Relativity.) I do not agree with much of the material by AiG or Hovind or ICR. I do agree with much of the material by Intelligent Design, but would rather come to my own conclusions independently and thus do not rely on their work as "authorities."

Actually, this particular thread was doing very well discussing actual science for days! It wasn't until the subject was drawn kicking and screaming into the Hitler/Nazi subtopic that things started going awry. But it appears to have calmed back down. However, I am quite disappointed that the last 100 posts or so have had precious little to do with science.
As to what has happened around here, you can read just about everything on this thread. Also, if you still are a poster at DesignedUniverse.com you have direct access to that point of view as well.
