"Reducto Ad Hitleram"
That's great. It also sounds like what happens on
the forums. Sooner or later, every argument is
reduced to someone calling someone else a Nazi.
Excellent phrase.

The liberals get Stalinism, we get Nazi Germany. There's always evil to be found on the extreme ends of either political ideology. What in the world are you talking about?
Both the Nazi party and Stalin were leftists. Nazi was short for "National Socialist".
The only difference between Stalin and Hitler was that Stalin was an international Communist and Hitler was a nationalist as well as being a socialist.

I like Larry Elder and Neil Boortz. I don't agree with Boortz on some things but I really admire Larry Elder. I may be a little "l" as you say. For the most part, I agree with Rush. I also like Sean Hannity.

I really don't believe that nationalism is the same as fascism. I know the right-wing in this country is nationalistic, but they are nationalistic to principles this nation was founded upon. Those principles being self-determination and a free-market economy. If I am a fascist because I am fiercely loyal to those principles and I am willing to die for my country because of it, so be it. I wave the flag, but it isn't for the same things that Hitler and the Nazi flag stood for.

I agree. I think nationalism, like bigotry, is not the boogie bear of its implication. A look at the dictionary comes up with something other than the use to which both are put.

Mark Steyn is a small 'l,' too, I think. His writing sure is.
But don't say that too loud. LOL

"This is why "left" and "right" comparisons are so much smoke and fog... the only scale that makes sense is the Hayekian model of a sliding scale from totalitarianism to anarchy. "Far left" and "far right" both qualify for the former. Communism and fascism are two sides of the same coin." You are correct...the totalitarian NAZI party is on the left with the "pinko/DU" mob...and "limited government" (Constitutional Republics) is WAAAY right...but not as right, as true anarchists (no government)...If you want to have some fun explain the true political spectrum to a lib and watch his brain melt. In their world with the Bolsheviks on the left and the NAZIs on the right the entire spectrum is Socialist!!!!
