I do think there are many that will keep an eye on them and wether PBA are being performed or not.

How? By installing cameras in abortion mills?

Would any of us really want to establish the precedent, even over abortion, of having videotaped governmental review of our medical procedures?

How is this legislation enforceable?

You have totally missed my point .. I realize that and have stated that there are some that are hell bent on performing PBA

And when caught .. they will go to jail

Well, it's late here and plus there's another dang thunder storm so I'm outta here

Nite

Yes, I'm impressed. I'm impressed they managed to get this bill through at all (assuming they did). Still several big humps to get over.

Don't you think President Bush is working toward that goal?

I'm not so sure. He's doged it at every function.

It may be academic but the claim of success will be tantamount to an admission.

Say nothing and the belief is considerable. Say something and the belief is resolute. In the end it's just shades of grey.

It's preferable to know what leaders are thinking, feeling, and planning. It's just cleaner that way.

Which still begs the question, how does your libertarian party propose changing anything with abortion without a single elected national or state official in the position to pass legislation?

Or is it your plan to simply sit on the sidelines and complain loudy about people who are actually attempting to do something?

Dodged it at every function? I'm sorry - I don't know what you mean by that. Please explain.

This bill prohibits "partial birth abortion" as it is being performed today. If the abortionists ignore the law and continue the slaughter, some will eventually be caught and prosecuted. This will definitely put a damper on the volume of abortions. If the abortion industry then changes the procedure to wiggle around the stated intent of the law, ie, find some other way to kill the baby during a so-called birthing process, then we'll at least be a step closer to being able to amend the law or write a new one to ban even more abortion procedures.

I think "dodged" is a term that quickly came to their mind as they ignore a very simple question...how will the lp affect any change in the process given their complete lack of any political viability?

I believe they would be very hesitent to do this. Once exposed, such an evasion of the law would have a significant impact on public opinion.

Here it is my answer to you:

Not a whit. Nothing, nada, less than nothing. And yet you and others will remind me that Bush is the President of the whole country, warts and all.

At this time, at this place, shouldn't leadership count?

Or is it your plan to simply sit on the sidelines and complain loudy about people who are actually attempting to do something?

Doing something would be defined by "doing something"? Right?

Congress is out of session until the first week of September? Right?

I'm quite glad that they aren't in the "hands of power" for the rest of the month. Aren't you?

Avoided the issue at a public function. If I'm lying I'm dying. And I could be wrong. It won't be the first time...

Sincere question: Is there anything President Bush has done on behalf of the pro-life movement that you would give him credit for?

Thank you for confirming the obvious. So since the President and Republican are actually attempting to do something your contribution will be to do nothing and sit on the sideline spouting more critisim that they aren't doing enough.

I just did a simple Google search for "Bush" "pro-life" - a lot of stuff there. First link I clicked on yielded this.

I'm going to go to bed now, but thanks for the discussion. Have a good one.

P.S. 'Night, Jackson! Night all...

I believe so too. I also believe that even if they do find a way to kill the baby during a partial birth abortion procedure that doesn't exactly meet the definition in this text, ie, splitting fine hairs about navels or heads being exposed, etc, but the objective and intent was definitely to "kill the baby" then they'll probably be prosecuted anyway.

Nice find. If you do the same search for libertarian party and pro-life you will find this.

Goodnight.
