Qusay had more G-2 than that. He had to have know using the Sat phone would bring all sorts of nasty things.

I think we're on the same wavelength. Familial relationships in the Hussein al-Tikriti clan are .. well let's just say complicated. Plenty of family members had scores to settle. I am more convinced Qusay may have had good reasons to go after dad. 1) Dad was destroying his inheiritance with his insane policy decisions. 2) Dad was vulnerable and Qusay enough of cold blooded calculating killer to do it.

I doubt that. Qusay appeared to be the one poised to take the reins for Saddam.

Uday was more of the 'disinherited' one in that respect, drawing his father's ire on many occasions.

You are probably right, but why would Qusay knowing our capabilities use a sat phone in such close proximity to dear old dad.

Udai was disinheirited by pop, but lacked the discipline to go after the prize. He would lasted 2 seconds at the top. Qusay was much more cunning & ruthless. Udai was just a sick psychopath.
