'Queer Eye' for the Straight Girl

Thank you for your voice of reason amidst this sea of hate mongering.
And no I am decidedly not gay, but I am horrified by the breadth and vociferousness of the hatefullness running rampent among this boards.
What is wrong with you people?:I particularly find the so called Christians with thier obligatory biblical references to sodom and gommorah, the most loathesome in thier clueless hypocrosisy----HELLO!.... did Christ not teach tolerence and ACCEPTENCE, especially for those who are the moST to difficult to accept among us-and while i am not saying that homosexuals SHOULD be the difficult to accept, nor tha they need forgiveness for anything, but the fact is many here seem to belive tha they are sinners deserving of malice, this for whatever personal reason from thier OWN latent homosexuality,to the simple need to hate, period.

Either way, if you are going to call yourself a Christian or use christian dogma to rationalize your own fear and hate do this instead; put on your thinking cap-(if you have one,) go a little deeper than you are accustomed to and even if its only the old "let he among you that is without sin cast the first stone" concept use it-get on your knees right now and pray for all sinners as well as for your own hate-filled hearts--

Now-about the show....

Its an entertaining CONCEPT/program-- the bottomline being Gay MEN HELPING -STRAIGHT MEN TO BE BETTER MATES TO thier WOMEN VIA the whole makeover route-(sans cosmetic surgery as the makeovers must becompleted within 24 hrs!).

The show of course uses the gay/straight man dynamic with all of its to-be-expected-straight-guy discomfiture and homophobia, to its advanatage, as it is this that lends the show so much of its appeal and humor.

It also would seem quite clear that every straight guy "star" of the show has been ecstaticlly happy with the end results of his "life makeover" and we the audience,while privy to the mens dramatic surface transormation in appearnce we are also made privy to a much more significant change and this is the change that comes from within when we change whats on the outside-(or when someone who loves us lights a fire under us to do so!) a decidedly more confident, positive and seemingly hope-infused man consistently emerges at the end of every show-and I persnally have noted that every man, no matter how recalcitrant or stoic, or even fearful they started outin the end each one is genuinely appreciative of these five men -that served as thier own personal harbingers of self esteem via positive change-

Now what could posibly be bad about this?
